Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) will launch its weather satellite INSAT-3DS today. The objective of this launching is to get accurate information about meteorological and natural disasters. ISRO chief offered prayers at Sri Chengalamma Temple in Sullurpet, Andhra Pradesh to mark the successful launch of INSAT-3DS satellite.
Third satellite of INSAT series
ISRO chief S Somnath spoke to reporters after performing the puja. He said, ‘INSAT-3DS will be launched today at 5.35 pm. It is being launched for accurate information about meteorological and natural disasters. This satellite has been built for the Ministry of Earth Sciences. This is the third satellite of the INSAT series of satellites.
