The cabinet gave in-principle approval to start Swami Vivekananda Yuva Shakti Mission

Bhopal: The cabinet meeting was held in the ministry under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. The cabinet has given in-principle approval to start Swami Vivekananda Yuva Shakti Mission to bring youth orientation activities on a single platform in a coordinated manner with the aim of overall socio-economic development of the youth of the state.

It is noteworthy that on the occasion of Independence Day 2024, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav had announced the implementation of four missions in the state – Annadata (Farmer) Kalyan, Yuva Shakti, Nari Shakti and Garib Kalyan. Keeping this in mind, Swami Vivekananda Yuva Shakti Mission will create a partnership platform to coordinate youth orientation activities, which will promote the development of the state. The mission will be launched on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary on 12 January 2025 (Youth Day). The main objectives of the mission are to build self-confidence in the youth, prepare for competition along with upgrading their skills and promoting talent. The main components of the mission are dialogue, strength (ability) and prosperity.

Three major goals of the mission have been set. First goal- To target the income level of every youth to be equal to the rate of minimum skilled category worker. Second goal- To make efforts to enable every youth to complete education up to class 12th. This goal will be achieved in class 10th by the year 2028 and in class 12th by the year 2030. Third goal- To make every youth a part of social initiatives in the interest of society. 70 percent achievement will be achieved by the year 2030.

boost milk production

With the objective of expanding the cooperative system and Sanchi brand under the Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department, the cabinet gave its consent to the collaboration agreement between M.P. State Co-operative Dairy Federation Limited and the associated milk unions and the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB). This decision has been taken to double the income of milk producers in Madhya Pradesh and to promote milk production.

As per the collaboration agreement between M.P. State Co-operative Dairy Federation Limited and National Dairy Development Board, collection centres will be set up in every Gram Panchayat to ensure milk procurement and help in getting the right price. The processing capacity of milk unions will be increased. In this way, an investment of about Rs. 1500 crore will be made in the next 5 years. The number of milk committees will be increased from 6 thousand to 9 thousand. In this way, milk collection will be increased from 10.50 lakh kilograms to 20 lakh kilograms. A target has been set to double the total annual income of milk producers from Rs. 1700 crore to Rs. 3500 crore. The Sanchi brand will be established at the national level by promoting it more widely.
