Make Madhya Pradesh an ideal state in the field of electricity: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav
Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that Madhya Pradesh should be made an ideal state in the field of electricity. Make such an action plan that the burden of electricity subsidy can be reduced without increasing the burden on consumers. He gave these instructions during the review of the energy department in the ministry.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the work of installing smart meters in the areas of the three electricity distribution companies should be expedited. Consumers should be made aware of the benefits of this. He said that burnt and damaged distribution transformers should be replaced within the time limit.
Organizational structure will be approved soon
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that to fulfil the shortage of officers and employees, all power companies should submit a proposal for their organizational structure (OS). It will be approved soon.
30 lakh farmers will be connected to solar energy
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that a well-planned action plan should be made to achieve the target of connecting 30 lakh farmers to solar energy in the state. Its time limit should be fixed. This will also reduce electricity subsidy. He said that farmers should be provided electricity during the day for irrigation.
Energy Minister Shri Pradyuman Singh Tomar stressed on the need to approve the organizational structure. He talked about making an action plan for the maintenance of transformers and power lines and giving electricity connections to people living in illegal settlements.
12 lakh 57 thousand smart meters were installed
It was told in the meeting that more than 12 lakh 57 thousand smart meters have been installed under the RDSS scheme. 6 lakh 70 thousand 644 smart meters have been installed by the East Zone Electricity Distribution Company, 77 thousand 100 by the Central Zone Electricity Distribution Company and 5 lakh 9 thousand 338 by the West Zone Electricity Distribution Company. In the meeting, necessary instructions were given after a detailed review of Atal Griha Jyoti, Atal Kisan Jyoti Yojana and other schemes.
Additional Chief Secretary Energy Mr. Neeraj Mandloi informed about the updated status of the departmental schemes.
