International news: White powder worth 87 lakh Canadian dollars recovered
An Indian truck driver has been accused of distributing drugs in Canada. In fact, he was caught trying to bring cocaine worth 8.7 million Canadian dollars into the US. The driver has been identified as Gagandeep Singh. He was caught with cocaine by Customs and Border Protection officials (CBP).

According to officials, the seizure is consistent with large-scale drug distribution activities. According to the criminal complaint, the accused tried to bypass CBP officers and proceed through the toll after being stopped by them. A CBP K-9 was alerted to the smell of narcotics after officers found 13 cardboard boxes sealed with duct tape in a transport trailer.
An official said 290 kg of white powder was recovered, which was identified as cocaine. Its price is said to be around 8,700,000 Canadian dollars. Scissors and duct tape were also recovered from the vehicle. After questioning, the authorities became suspicious of the truck driver because he was carrying agricultural equipment in his truck, but the trailer was stamped by a Canadian health and beauty care company. The accused was produced before the court on February 7, none of the charges have been proved till now.
