Nation News: Sleeper version of Vande Bharat Express will be launched soon, will be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities
Indian Railways is preparing to launch the sleeper version of Vande Bharat Express soon. Its specialty is that this train will run at a higher speed than the Rajdhani Express. According to railway officials, the first prototype of Vande Bharat sleeper coach is expected to be ready by March. It is expected that the first set of sleeper version of Vande Bharat Express will be ready to run on the tracks in March.
This will benefit those passengers who face difficulty in traveling only by sitting in long journeys. After installation of sleeper coach, such passengers will be able to travel lying down comfortably.
After getting the start in March and necessary trials, the new sets of sleeper versions will start running from the first or second week of April. The production of these trains may start from August or September this year. In the report, quoting railway officials, it has been written that the process of manufacturing sleeper coaches is going on at full speed.
On which route will the sleeper train run?
At present, Vande Bharat Express is providing services on 39 railway routes of the country. These are all chair cars. According to the report, initially the new sleeper coaches will travel overnight on routes like Delhi to Mumbai, Delhi to Howrah and Delhi to Patna.
The train will be equipped with these modern facilities
A railway official said, “We are planning to make train travel comfortable for people after spending time in their offices.” He said, “There will be 16 coaches in this train. This will include 3 tier, 2 tier and 1AC coaches. ICF and Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) factory in Bengaluru are manufacturing the new sleeper coaches. He further said, “Work is being done on the design of berth, air duct, cable duct, washroom. “Currently BEML is manufacturing ten such trains for ICF.”
