The sculptures made by the craftsmen are excellent: President Murmu
Bhopal. President Draupadi Murmu met and interacted with the craftsmen who make stone sculptures in Shrimahakal Lok in Ujjain and described the sculptures being made by them as excellent. The President interacted with craftsmen Shri Ishwar Chandra Maharana, craftsman Shri Aditya Maharana, craftsman Shri Suresh Kumar Ojha, craftsman Akshay Kumar Maharana at Triveni Sabha Mandapam. All the craftsmen are from Puri district of Odisha. When the President interacted with the craftsmen, all the craftsmen were very excited. Their eyes filled with joy.
President Mrs. Murmu said in her interaction with the craftsmen that you are making sculptures in Shrimahakal Lok, this is a matter of pride for the whole country and especially the state of Odisha. She took detailed information about the work being done by the craftsmen. The President told the craftsmen that everyone studies, but not everyone has the art. The work being done by you is very commendable. During this, President Mrs. Murmu honored the craftsmen by presenting them shawls and coconuts. The craftsmen presented a stone Shivling to the President.
One lakh rupees will be given to the craftsmen each: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav
In Shrimahakal Lok, craftsmen are making statues of Shiva, lotus, sapta rishis etc. Most of the work of making statues is on the verge of completion. Craftsmen have built many stone statues and temples across the country. Governor Mr. Mangubhai Patel, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav were present. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that these craftsmen will be given an amount of one lakh rupees each as an incentive.
