Mass marriage programs give the message of social harmony and frugality: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav
Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has congratulated and wished 1158 bride and groom who tied the knot in a mass marriage ceremony under the Chief Minister Kanya Vivah / Nikah Yojana in Pandhana development block of Khandwa district. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that so many couples tying the knot together is like setting a record in itself. Organizing the Panigrahan Sanskar and Nikah together has presented a wonderful example of social harmony. This mass wedding event prevents wastage and also sends a message of social unity. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav participated virtually in the mass marriage ceremony from Samatva Bhavan located at the Chief Minister’s residence.
Minister of Social Justice and Disabled Empowerment, Horticulture and Food Processing Shri Narayan Singh Kushwaha was present in the program organized in Pandhana. 1158 couples tied the knot in the program held at Krishi Upaj Mandi Pandhana. Out of these, 1137 got married and 21 couples got married.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that marriage is one of the 16 important rituals. He said that the bride coming into the family should be given love and respect like a daughter and the daughter should also follow the family tradition by considering her in-laws as her parents. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state government is providing Rs. 51,000 to each bride and groom, out of which Rs. 49,000 is being deposited directly into their accounts. He appealed to the newlyweds to take advantage of the government schemes and make every possible effort to improve their own and their family’s standard of living.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Omkareshwar-Mamleshwar Jyotirlinga situated in the lap of Maa Narmada, Dadaji Dhuniwale and the melodious voice of late playback singer Kishore Kumar have given a special identity to Khandwa district. The literary talent of renowned litterateur Makhanlal Chaturvedi and the indomitable courage of Veer Tantya Mama have made this land proud. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav congratulated the social workers and officers and employees of Khandwa for the successful event.
