Colourful roti is providing full nutrition to Anganwadi children
Bhopal. It is often seen that a lot of effort is required to feed plain roti to small children, but if this roti is colourful, then the interest of children increases. Nutrient-rich food also improves the health of children. An innovative initiative has been taken in Sagar district with the aim of providing nutritious food to children. Collector Mr. Sandeep G.R. has started the ‘Rangeen Roti’ campaign, in which colourful rotis are being prepared by children using moringa leaves, carrots, beetroot, tomatoes etc. to make the food being given at Anganwadi centres more nutritious.
“Rangeen Roti Campaign” was started in the district as an important initiative, which aims to provide nutritious food to Anganwadi children. This campaign is not only focused on improving the nutritional level of children, but also to attract them towards food and explain to them the importance of healthy food in colourful ways.
As a result of this campaign, not only was there a gradual improvement in the nutritional level of the children, but the children’s interest in food also increased and they started coming to the Anganwadi centres regularly to eat. The parents of the children were also influenced by this initiative and started preparing nutritious food for the children at home. The biggest success of the “Rangin Roti Campaign” is that due to this, the attendance of children in the Anganwadi centres and their health level improved.
