Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai addressed the All India Steel Conclave 2.0

Raipur, January 10, 2025: We are working with a strong will to build a developed Chhattisgarh. Prime Minister  Narendra Modi has set a target of producing 300 million tonnes of steel by 2030 and Chhattisgarh will play the most important role in achieving this target. For this, every entrepreneur of the state will have to become the brand ambassador of Chhattisgarh’s development journey. Our government will provide all possible support to take the steel industry of the state to new heights. Chief Minister  Vishnu Dev Sai said this while addressing the All India Steel Conclave 2.0 organized at Mayfair Lake Resort in Nava Raipur today. Chief Minister Sai said that Chhattisgarh is celebrating the silver jubilee year of its establishment. We are moving towards a developed Chhattisgarh. He said that when I was the Union Minister of State, I often met representatives of the steel industry. Mr. Sai said that 1500 representatives from 17 states will brainstorm on the challenges and new opportunities of the steel industry here for two days. I am confident that the discussions held here will give a new direction to the progress of the steel sector as well as Chhattisgarh and the country. He said that the organization of All India Steel Conclave 2.0 will not only encourage the steel industry in the state, but will also be beneficial for MSMEs. People from the industry across the country want to be a part of this development journey of Chhattisgarh. Many more doors of opportunity will open in Chhattisgarh. Soon we will become the largest center of energy minerals like lithium.

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that there are many opportunities for the steel industry in Chhattisgarh. We have sufficient amount of minerals like iron ore and coal as well as electricity for the steel industry. We are third in the country in steel production. We are proud that our state is the powerhouse of the country’s economy. Chhattisgarh has now also moved towards green steel. He said that many innovations are taking place in the steel industry. You people are using new and advanced technology to increase production, for this all of you deserve congratulations. Along with accelerating economic development, we will also have to address the challenge of climate change. In such a situation, now permanent measures for environment-friendly development will have to be taken. He reiterated the target of creating 5 lakh new jobs through the new industrial policy and said that this will be achieved only with the cooperation of all of you. During this, the Chief Minister also shared the government’s vision on Single Window System 2.0 and New Industrial Policy. Single Window System 2.0 is an innovative platform through which industry, business and startups in the state are getting all the facilities on one portal.

Commerce and Industry Minister  Lakhanlal Dewangan said that under the leadership of Chief Minister  Vishnu Dev Sai, our government has prepared a favorable industrial policy for investment and this is attracting investment in the state. He said that Chhattisgarh is a forested state and there are abundant reserves of mineral wealth here. All the possibilities of accelerating the development of the state are present here. Mr. Dewangan also informed about the decisions taken by the government to promote the steel industry. He urged all the industrialists present in the conclave to make our industrial policy reach as many people as possible, so that people take advantage of it and become partners in the progress of the state. MP Mr. Brijmohan Agarwal said that Chhattisgarh is becoming the fastest developing state in the country. The state has favorable conditions for the steel industry. Many industries are already established in the state, now it is our responsibility to take care of the environment along with development. Try to improve the lives of the people with the help of CSR. On this occasion, Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Subodh Singh, Secretary Mr. Rahul Bhagat, Industry Secretary Mr. Rajat Kumar, Chairman of All India Steel Conclave 2.0 Mr. Ramesh Agarwal, President of Chhattisgarh Steel Re Rollers Association Mr. Sanjay Tripathi, CEO of Bhilai Steel Plant Ajoy Kumar Chakraborty, officials of CSRA and industrialists associated with the steel industry were present.
