visited the exhibition

After the parade of CRPF Foundation Day celebrations, Union Home Minister Shri Shah along with Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav visited the photo exhibition ‘Creative Dimensions of CRPF Dedicated to National Service’ in the premises of CRPF Camp Neemuch. The exhibition showcased the achievements and various activities of the force since the establishment of CRPF till date through pictures.

It is noteworthy that the 86th CRPF Day Parade was held this year on 17 April amid elaborate celebrations. CRPF Day is generally celebrated on 19 March every year, because on this day in 1950, India’s first Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel presented the flag to the CRPF. This year’s event in Neemuch has special significance because it was here that the ‘Crown Representative Police’ was established on 27 July 1939 during the British rule. After independence, on 28 December 1949, Sardar Patel named it “Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)”. Today, CRPF is a strong pillar of the country’s internal security and is living up to its basic mantra of “service and loyalty” by standing in the front line on every challenging front.
