Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi congratulated Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav for organizing the Global Investors Summit with the aim of developing India from developed Madhya Pradesh. Prime Minister Shri Modi said that for the first time in the history of India, such an opportunity has come when the whole world is hopeful about India. India has proved its capabilities in various fields, as a result of which the whole world is expressing faith in India. Prime Minister Shri Modi said that we are experiencing the same faith in Madhya Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh is the fifth largest state of the country in terms of population, is a leader in agriculture and mining, along with this the state has received the blessings of Mother Narmada. Madhya Pradesh has benefited from the infrastructure development taking place in the country, a large part of the Delhi-Mumbai National Highway passes through Madhya Pradesh, the state has a road network of five lakh kilometers and there are immense possibilities of logistics here. Madhya Pradesh has every potential that can bring it among the top five states of the country. Prime Minister Shri Modi congratulated Chief Minister Dr. Yadav for celebrating the year 2025 as the Industry Year.
18 new policies launched to promote industrial investment
By pressing the button on the remote, Prime Minister Shri Modi launched 18 new policies implemented for industrial investment promotion in the state. These include Madhya Pradesh Industry Policy 2025, MSME Policy, Export Promotion Policy, Logistics Policy, Startup Policy, Madhya Pradesh Animation, VR, Gaming Comics and Extended Reality Policy, GCC Policy, Semiconductor Policy, Drone Promotion and Use Policy, Film Tourism Policy, Tourism Policy, Pumped Hydro Storage Policy, City Gas Distribution Policy, Aviation Policy, Renewable Energy Policy, Health Investment Promotion Policy and Integrated Township Policy.
Madhya Pradesh is the cotton capital of the country
While encouraging the industrialists who had come to the summit to invest in Madhya Pradesh, Prime Minister Shri Modi said that there are more than 300 industrial zones here and there are immense possibilities of investment. The state has 31 thousand megawatt surplus energy, of which 30 percent is renewable energy. A few days ago, a floating solar energy project was launched in Omkareshwar. Madhya Pradesh has benefited from the boom in the energy sector. Recently, the foundation stone of the Ken-Betwa Link Project costing Rs 45 thousand crore was laid, which will increase the irrigation capacity in 10 lakh hectares of land, as a result, the textile industry and food processing sector will grow in the state. Prime Minister Shri Modi, while describing Madhya Pradesh as the cotton capital of the country, said that Madhya Pradesh is the largest producer of textile industry and cotton supply in the country. Mulberry silk and Chanderi sarees of this place are also very popular. One of the seven big textile parks being built in the country is in Madhya Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh is both strange and amazing in the tourism sector of the country. Tourism has developed considerably on the banks of Narmada. There are immense possibilities of medical tourism in the state.
Madhya Pradesh is progressing rapidly in the field of electric vehicles
Prime Minister Shri Modi said that two decades ago people were afraid to invest in Madhya Pradesh. The state where buses could not run properly is now moving ahead at a fast pace in the field of electric vehicles. By January 2025, two lakh electric vehicles have been registered in the state, which shows that Madhya Pradesh is attracting investment in new areas as well. Investment is also being encouraged in lithium batteries and nuclear energy. 100% of the rail network in Madhya Pradesh has been electrified. The pictures of Rani Kamlapati station are captivating everyone. On the same lines, 80 railway stations of the state are being developed. The airports of Gwalior and Jabalpur have been expanded for aviation services. Prime Minister Shri Modi said that the Central and State Governments are constantly making every possible effort to take the development rate of the state to new heights. This is the time and the right time to invest in Madhya Pradesh.
India does what it says
Prime Minister Shri Modi said that the common people, experts and institutions of the world are looking towards India with hope. The World Bank has said that India will remain such a dynamic economy in the coming years. Similarly, an institution of the United Nations has called India the best centre of solar energy. Another report has said that India is emerging as a global supply chain. There is a belief in the world that India does what it says. This idea prevalent at the global level is enough basis to increase the enthusiasm of investors.
Textiles, tourism and technology will drive the country’s development in the coming years
Prime Minister Shri Modi said that textiles, tourism and technology will accelerate the country’s development in the coming years. There are immense possibilities of medical tourism in the country including Madhya Pradesh. Health and wellness sector is being encouraged. The government is working towards developing MSME-centric supply chain to give impetus to the MSME sector and incentives are being provided to entrepreneurs working in this sector. Many irrelevant laws have been abolished to promote “Ease of Doing Business”. Tax slabs have been restructured in the Union Budget, the Reserve Bank has also reduced interest rates.
Mahakaal Mahalok Darshan provides supernatural experience
Prime Minister Shri Modi told the delegates who had come to the summit that if they have come to Madhya Pradesh, then they must visit Mahakal Mahalok of Ujjain and receive the blessings of Lord Mahakal, this will give them a spiritual experience.
It is in the interest of students to arrive 15 minutes late to the programme
Prime Minister Shri Modi, while giving the reason for reaching the inauguration program of GIS 15-20 minutes late, said that he has come to know that students of class 10th and 12th have an exam today. He delayed his schedule by 15 minutes so that the students do not face any problem due to VIP movement.

On the arrival of Prime Minister Shri Modi at the Global Investors Summit being held for the first time in Bhopal, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav greeted him by presenting him with Ang Vastram in the presence of Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel. To enhance the grandeur of the event, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav expressed his gratitude by presenting a picture of Mahakal Temple made with Bhopal’s famous Zari-Zardozi art as a souvenir. Leading politicians, industrialists and representatives of national and international organizations from the country and the world are participating in the two-day summit organized at the Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya.

In the program, a short film “India Growth Story” was screened focusing on India emerging as the world’s leading economy under the leadership and guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. A short film “Madhya Pradesh – Infinite Possibilities” focusing on the industrial possibilities of the state was screened.
A glimpse of the state’s culture and heritage presented through an immersive digital walkview
Prime Minister Shri Modi visited the MP Experience Zone and MP Pavilion at the venue showcasing the unique craftsmanship and cultural heritage of Madhya Pradesh. The Experience Zone showcases the heritage, progress and aspirations of the state in the form of an immersive digital walk-through. Along with this, the cultural zone showcases the history, folklore, architecture and tribal traditions of the state through interactive exhibitions, digital storytelling and virtual reality. The zone developed in the form of a village showcased traditional pottery, terracotta artefacts as well as the products of the districts under “One District-One Product”. Prime Minister Shri Modi observed the Gond, Bhili and Pithora artefacts created by the famous tribal painters of the state. Prime Minister Shri Modi also visited the industrial exhibitions organized on this occasion, namely Auto Show, Textile and Fashion Expo.

Simplified trade and hassle-free business is the top priority of the state government
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that a year ago, the journey of investment and industrial development started from Ujjain in March 2024 with the blessings of Baba Mahakal. In this journey, along with regional industry conclaves, interactive sessions were organized in major cities of the country. At the international level, the development story of Madhya Pradesh was presented in UK, Germany and Japan and by communicating with the industrialists, their needs and potential challenges were understood and a comprehensive roadmap was prepared to encourage investment. Effective implementation of simple, investment friendly and relevant policies, simplified trade and hassle-free business, improving single window system and bringing transparency in governance are our top priorities. With the aim of continuously working for investment efforts in the state, the government has decided to celebrate the year 2025 as the “Industry and Employment Year”.
A favorable ecosystem is being prepared for industrial development in the state
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that for the first time under the Global Investors Summit, 6 departments, namely Urban Development Department, Tourism Department, Mineral Department, Renewable Energy Department, Information Technology Department and MSME Department are holding separate summits to promote industry and employment. For the industrial development of any state, 4 basic resources are required, land, water, electricity and skilled workforce. The state has surplus electricity, abundant water, huge land bank and skilled human resources. The law and order here is also investment friendly. Along with this, the government is committed to the development of industries in the state, so that the work of the industry runs smoothly, effectively and quickly, the field of new investment develops and a favorable ecosystem is created for industrial development.
Infinite possibilities for everyone in the state
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh is the state with the highest annual growth rate in the category of big states in Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP). In the last 12 years, the Gross Domestic Product of Madhya Pradesh has increased almost 4 times. Many big projects including Mega Footwear Cluster (Morena), Renewable Energy Equipment Manufacturing (Mohasa-Bawai) and PM Mitra (MITRA) Park (Dhar) are in progress. Medical Devices Park and 6 new industrial areas are being developed in Vikram Udyogpuri (Ujjain). There are more than 300 industrial areas in the state. In the coming year, 13 new industrial parks will be completed, while the foundation stone of 20 more industrial parks will be laid. Plug and Play Centers, Semiconductor Parks and New IT Parks are being established in the state, this will attract investment in the state and open new doors of employment. The biggest and the smallest investors are also guests for us. There are infinite possibilities in the state for everyone. The state government is committed to make these infinite possibilities fruitful in development.
Strong family feeling exists in Madhya Pradesh
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi, the entire country including Madhya Pradesh is entering a new era of economic progress. The state government has started 4 missions keeping the poor, youth, farmers and women at the center. Prime Minister Shri Modi gave the gift of Ken-Betwa Link National Project and Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal Link Project to move Madhya Pradesh forward on the path of development, which will provide drinking water facility to a population of 41 lakh in Madhya Pradesh and annual irrigation facility in about 09 lakh hectares of area. Madhya Pradesh is a surplus state in the field of electricity. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi, the journey to make the state a developed and industrial Madhya Pradesh has begun, the state is shaping a better future. Madhya Pradesh will prove to be a pioneer in playing an important role in the economic progress of the country. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, while inviting prominent personalities of the industry to the state, said that a strong family feeling exists in Madhya Pradesh. It is a specialty here that whoever comes to Madhya Pradesh once, becomes a part of this place.
Adani Group will invest Rs 1.10 lakh crore in the state
In the presence of Prime Minister Shri Modi, representatives of various industrialists and industrial groups shared their experiences regarding the operation of industrial units and expansion of activities in Madhya Pradesh. Under this, Adani Group Chairman Shri Gautam Adani said that it is a matter of good fortune for him to come to the Global Investors Summit. Adani Group has already invested Rs 50 thousand crore in Madhya Pradesh. In future, his group has a plan of Rs 1 lakh 10 thousand crore. This investment will be in cement, mining and energy sector, this will create 1 lakh 20 thousand employment opportunities by the year 2030. He told that his group is also discussing with the state government for the construction of Multi Smart City and Airport City.
With the ongoing development in the state, it is wise to invest here
Regarding investment in the state, Avaada Group Chairman Mr. Vineet Mittal said that his group plans to set up solar-wind power projects in the state with an investment of Rs 50 thousand crore. Mr. Sanjeev Puri of ITC Group described Madhya Pradesh as the powerhouse of the agriculture sector. Mr. Nadir Godrej of Godrej Group said that it is wise to invest here due to the ongoing development process in the state. Mr. Sudhir Agarwal of Sagar Group and Mr. Dinesh Patidar of Shakti Pumps also shared their experiences related to the operation of industrial activities in the state. Foreign investors, global industrial organizations, industrial houses working at the national level, representatives of industry associations, entrepreneurs and businessmen participated in large numbers in the Global Investors Summit.
