Hindi is an expression of emotions and devotion to die for the motherland: Governor Patel
Bhopal. Governor Mangubhai Patel has said that Hindi is the bindi on the forehead of Mother India. It is not just a language, it is an expression of emotions and devotion to die for the motherland. Hindiization and simplification of regional words is necessary for the continuous development, prosperity and spread of Hindi. Governor Shri Patel was addressing the Hindi speaking Sahityakaar and Hindi Seva Samman Samaroh organized by Madhya Pradesh Rashtra Bhasha Prachar Samiti. He congratulated and wished the honored writers, administrative officers, Hindi Seva Sadhaks and young litterateurs.
Governor Shri Patel said that in the last few decades, the spread of Hindi has increased in non-Hindi speaking states as well as abroad. It would not be an exaggeration to say that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the popularity of Hindi language has increased unprecedentedly. When Prime Minister Shri Modi presents his point in Hindi on world forums, the whole world listens with great attention. In the new National Education Policy, he has laid special emphasis on increasing the opportunities for study and teaching in Hindi and regional languages. Governor Shri Patel said that Madhya Pradesh is the first state in the country to provide complete education in Hindi for scientific subjects like engineering and medicine. He said that Madhya Pradesh Rashtra Bhasha Prachar Samiti is working towards fulfilling Mahatma Gandhi’s dream of national unity through Hindi.
Understand the difficulties of non-Hindi speakers and find solutions
Governor Shri Patel said that we have to increase the interest of non-Hindi speakers towards Hindi, understand their difficulties. It has to be resolved. Efforts should also be made to encourage discussions in Hindi by connecting non-Hindi speakers on social media platforms. Governor Shri Patel said that the possibilities of using websites and digital platforms should be contemplated upon to make Hindi global and increase people’s interest. It is also necessary to take initiatives to honor those who contribute to the linguistic development of Hindi and those who have achieved professional achievements in the field of Hindi.
Hindi Seva Samman given in various categories
Governor Shri Patel presented Hindi Seva Samman-2024 in the ceremony. He honoured litterateurs, administrative officers and Hindi service seekers in different categories. The awards included non-Hindi speaking Hindi service worker, distinguished Hindi service worker award, established award and award for young litterateurs.
