There is immense potential for development of plastic industry in Madhya Pradesh – Chief Minister Dr. Yadav
Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that there are immense possibilities of development of plastic industry in Madhya Pradesh. This is a new area of industry and it has a big market. There are also better and bigger employment opportunities in this industry. For the development of plastic industry, we will move forward with caution by removing its side effects. Reuse and waste management will be promoted to remove the side effects of plastic. The help of scientists and experts will also be taken to develop the technology of reuse and waste management.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the plastic industry conference Plastpack 2025 which started in Indore on Thursday. This conference will run as an industry fair till January 12. More than 400 companies related to the plastic industry and more than 2 thousand exhibitors are participating in it. This program is being organized in collaboration with Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC). On this occasion, Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsiram Silawat, Mayor Shri Pushyamitra Bhargava, MLAs Shri Ramesh Mendola and Shri Madhu Verma, Mayor Council member Shri Abhishek Sharma and Chairman of Indian Plastpack Forum Shri Sachin Bansal etc. were present.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that there are immense possibilities for the development of plastic industry in the state. Full help will be given in the development of this industry. In the changing times, the use of plastic is increasing rapidly. It is also useful in life. Plastic has proved its usefulness in the Covid period. It has emerged as a life saver. During Covid, plastic has been used in PPE kits or masks etc. Its usefulness in life cannot be denied. Plastic also has side effects. Efforts will be made to remove these side effects. The environment will also be taken care of.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, industrial development in Madhya Pradesh is being given new momentum and new direction. Investor summits are being organized at regional level to encourage industrial investment in the state. Better results are also being obtained from this. So far 6 regional investor summits have been organized in the state. Through these, an investment of four lakh crore rupees has come to the state. This will provide employment to about three lakh people. The state will also get revenue of 200 crore rupees from the said investment. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that rapid development is being done in the state on the Gujarat model. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. He also visited the stalls set up in the conference.
At the beginning of the program, Chairman of Indian Plast Pack Forum Mr. Sachin Bansal gave a welcome speech and gave information about the event. He informed that more than 400 companies are exhibiting their latest technology, products and innovations in this huge conference organized by joint efforts of Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC). More than 2 thousand exhibitors are participating in this event. The Exhibition Center has been divided into six different domes, where live machines and products are being displayed. This conference is not only a platform for businessmen and entrepreneurs, but will also provide an informative experience for students, researchers and environmentalists.
