The country and the world are proud of the Indian Army: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has said that the entire country and the world is proud of the Indian Army. The army has created its special identity as a highly disciplined unit. The Indian Army has made its presence felt in the most difficult times by solving many challenges of the world with its capability and competence. At the time of independence, many countries of the world became independent but today India is established as the largest democracy in the world, all Indians are proud of this. The discipline, vigilance, vigor and readiness of the Indian Army is the basis of this pride. The Indian Army, endowed with courage and strength, has discharged its basic role in every political situation while staying within its limits and discipline and has made the best contribution in the interest of the country.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the Army Marathon program organized at Dronachal with the motto of “Fit India Run with Indian Army” for fitness-unity and patriotism. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also distributed prizes to the marathon winners. On this occasion, Bhangra dance was presented full of enthusiasm and passion. Army officers presented mementoes to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav.

Son-Daughters deserve equal rights and respect

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the country is getting stronger under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He said that the initiative of Prime Minister Shri Modi to celebrate Diwali with the army soldiers deployed on the border is commendable. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Army Day is celebrated on 15 January in memory of General K.M. Cariappa taking charge as the first Commander in Chief of the Indian Army in 1949. In this sequence, the initiative of organizing Army Marathon by Sudarshan Chakra Corps is commendable. He appealed to maintain its continuity and called upon more and more people to participate in the marathon.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that sons and daughters are equal in ability and competence and their rights are also equal. Therefore, the winning daughters in the Army Marathon should be awarded prizes of the same amount. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav gave a cheque of Rs 1 lakh to Mr. Rohit Verma, runner up Mr. Harish Rs 50 thousand and a Madhya Pradesh Tourism coupon to Mr. Hukum who came third in the Half Marathon Open Category, as prizes. In the women’s category, Ms. Bharti Nain who got the first position, Ms. Kiran Sahu who came second and Ms. Preeti Khandelwal who came third were awarded.

Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Shri Vishwas Sarang said that the participation of Bhopal residents in the Army Marathon, organized with the aim of promoting the connection between the army and the common people, was encouraging. He also gave information about the work being done by Chief Minister Dr. Yadav for sports and youth welfare under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Modi. Major General Shri S.K. Srivastava gave information regarding the program.
