Over 500 Volunteers Trained for the 38th National Games Preparations

Dehradun: Volunteers Gear Up as Uttarakhand Prepares for the 38th National Games Dehradun Uttarakhand has been given the honor of hosting the 38th National Games during its silver jubilee year. The games will take place from January 28 to February 14, with thousands of athletes from across the country participating. To ensure the success of this grand event, over 500 volunteers, selected from a pool of 30,000 applicants, participated in a physical training program held at the Rajiv Gandhi Cricket Stadium. These volunteers, all above the age of 18, were chosen from Uttarakhand’s leading colleges and will assist in various functional areas throughout the games.
Amit Kumar Sinha, CEO of the 38th National Games, delivered an inspiring speech to the volunteers. He emphasized, “Hosting the 38th National Games is a huge responsibility for Uttarakhand. As proud Uttarakhandis, we must rise to the occasion and provide an exceptional experience to the athletes and officials visiting from across the country.” Sports Minister Rekha Arya, speaking at the event, said, “The physical training for volunteers under the National Games Volunteer Program has started today. I extend my best wishes to all the volunteers who will play a crucial role in this event. I am confident that our volunteers will contribute to making these games historic and successful, sending a message across the nation. By being part of this grand sporting event, they will also gain invaluable experiences.” The training program aimed to equip volunteers with the knowledge and skills required to effectively fulfill their responsibilities during the event. This team of dedicated volunteers is expected to play a key role in making the 38th National Games a memorable and historic event.
