The aim of the state government is to increase Madhya Pradesh’s participation and achievements in international sports competitions: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav
bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that with the aim of increasing the participation and achievements of Madhya Pradesh in international sports competitions, the state government is giving all possible support to the players. Sports activities are being conducted in the state with the aim that players of Madhya Pradesh should participate in maximum numbers in all international sports competitions including the Olympics to be held in Los Angeles in the year 2028 and bring a large number of medals. The state government is continuously working to expand the sports infrastructure in the state, along with excellent training, other assistance and incentives are being provided to the players. The state government is ready to provide all possible support to the Madhya Pradesh Olympic Association. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was virtually addressing the annual meeting of Madhya Pradesh Olympic Association held in Jabalpur from the Chief Minister’s residence. Urban Development and Housing Minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya attended the meeting virtually. Additional Chief Secretary Dr. Rajesh Rajora and Additional Chief Secretary Sports and Youth Welfare Shri Manu Shrivastava were present on the occasion.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh Olympic Association is continuously working in the field of sports since 1952 i.e. for 73 years. Madhya Pradesh’s performance in the 38th National Games Uttarakhand was excellent and the state secured third position for the first time. Sports infrastructure in Madhya Pradesh is progressing at a fast pace. Madhya Pradesh has more than 22 hockey astroturfs and 15 athletic tracks, which is not there in any state in the country. There are 18 Excellence Academies in Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav congratulated and wished all the officials of the Olympic Association. Officials of Madhya Pradesh Olympic Association were present in the meeting held in Jabalpur.
