GIS is a milestone for the digital future of the state: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Bhopal: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has said in Global Investors Summit (GIS) Bhopal that 3T- Textile, Tourism, Technology will have a special role in the development of the country. Madhya Pradesh is no longer a traditional industrial state, but is moving towards becoming a hub of technology and innovation in India. For the first time, IT and Technology Summit was organized in GIS. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that this event will prove to be a milestone for the digital future of the state. In this summit, the state was established as a new center of technology. Tech leaders from around the world, industry experts, investors, innovators and start-ups etc. participated in the summit.
The state received investment proposals worth more than 64 thousand crore rupees in the IT sector. This will create more than 1.8 lakh employment opportunities in the state. Youth participation will be the highest in these jobs. Tech companies like Digital Convergence Technologies, Tholons, Alcina, Sritech, Kens Technology and Beyond Studios etc. have invested in the state. Global tech companies have also shown interest in investing in Madhya Pradesh, which includes major companies like IBM, Microsoft, Barclays. MoUs were also signed with these companies to strengthen the technical infrastructure of the state. This will promote technology, skill development and innovation.
For the first time, 6 departmental summits were organized to make GIS Bhopal more effective. 4 special sessions were organized for entrepreneurs and start-ups in the IT and Technology Summit. In this summit, experts from the industries directly interacted with the Department of Information and Technology, discussed the policies of the state and outlined new investment opportunities. In the summit, the state’s possible strategies on emerging topics like Electronics System Design and Manufacturing, Global Capability Centers, Animation Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics and Extended Reality, Semiconductor and Drone Technology were discussed. The state government has taken special steps to promote semiconductor manufacturing and electronics manufacturing and encourage drone technology.
GIS- New policy of Science and Technology Department was also launched in Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh Animation, VR, Gaming Comics and Extended Reality Policy-2025, GCC Policy-2025, Semi Conductor Policy-2025 and Drone Promotion and Use Policy-2025 were launched to make the state IT sector investment friendly. In these policies, financial and non-financial provisions have been made to attract investment in the field of IT and technology. Keeping in mind the future possibilities, these policies were made comprehensive and visionary. The state’s policies were appreciated by experts of IT industries during the departmental summit.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav announced the launch of new skill development programs to train youth in the IT and technology sector. These will provide training in advanced technologies like AI, data science, cyber security, blockchain and cloud computing. GIS- Bhopal has provided an opportunity to attract investment as well as brainstorm, formulate policies and decide the future direction. To realize the resolution of a developed Madhya Pradesh along with a developed India, the IT sector will take Madhya Pradesh to new heights of investment, innovation and opportunities.
