The aim of education is to inculcate human values, religious and social ideals: Union Minister Gadkari

Bhopal: Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has said that Indian sages and munis, including Lord Buddha, have taught us to follow the path of religion. The aim of education is to imbibe human values, religious and social ideals, sacrifice, penance, sanskar, coordination, harmony, all these values. We can build an ideal society through this path. India’s mantra has always been the welfare of the world. We have to build 21st century India with the thinking of thinkers like Swami Vivekananda, Ambedkar, Gandhi, Phule. Union Minister Gadkari attended the 33rd convocation of Dr. Harisingh Gour Central University, Sagar through video conferencing. Union Minister Gadkari said that character can be built only through education. We have to work in every field with a futuristic vision. This is also the dream of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The best technology should be developed in our country, whatever is good in the world should also be in India, this is our effort. He inspired the students to build a developed India through innovative experiments like CNG, biofuel, ethanol, green technology.

Union Minister Gadkari said that convocation is the most important occasion in the life of students. The students of Sagar University are lucky to have got the opportunity to study in the university built from the property donated by Dr. Gaur. He inspired all the students who received medals and degrees to always do better work in life and said that education makes a person knowledgeable. Make good use of education for the upliftment of society – Deputy Chief Minister Shukla Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla said that this is the India of the twenty-first century. We are going to become the third largest economy of the world. India will emerge as the biggest power by 2047. This is the new India. India is a nation working on the concept of world brotherhood and Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. All of you should work for this country. You all have a golden future ahead of you. Make good use of education for the upliftment of society.

Serve the country and society with knowledge: Minister Rajput Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Govind Singh Rajput said that today is a very emotional day. Those who are getting degrees are very lucky. He said that this university was, is and will remain famous at the national and international level. He said that along with gaining knowledge, all of you should take a pledge to serve the country and society and bring glory to the country. Giving the presidential address, Chancellor of the University Kanhaiyalal Berwal said that getting a degree is the happiest moment in the life of any student. Padma Vibhushan Jagadguru Swami Rambhadracharya also addressed the program. MP Dr. Lata Wankhede congratulated all the students on receiving the degree and medal.

The program was conducted by Dr. Shalini Choitharani. In-charge Registrar Dr. Satyaprakash Upadhyay expressed his gratitude. MLA Virendra Singh Lodhi, MLA Nirmala Sapre, along with local public representatives, university teachers, officers, employees, students receiving degrees were present on this occasion. The University conferred honorary D.Litt degree on Padma Vibhushan Jagadguru Swami Rambhadracharya. The renowned scholar, author, literature and Sanskrit connoisseur, social worker Padma Vibhushan Jagadguru Swami Rambhadracharya was conferred honorary D.Litt degree by the University. The guests presented gold medals and certificates to the meritorious students of the University. 1225 students had registered for the convocation ceremony, out of which 957 students including 482 undergraduate, 426 PG and 49 PhD students attended and received their degrees. On the occasion of the convocation, the guests inaugurated the three new buildings of the University, Acharya Sushruta Bhawan, Acharya P.C. Ray Bhawan and Swadeshi Bhawan. The degrees of all the students were also released on DigiLocker. The guests also released the convocation souvenir. Before the commencement of the convocation ceremony, the guests reached Gaur Samadhi and offered floral tribute to Dr. Gaur.
