
Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the new building of the State Waqf Board will be built in Bhopal. The building will be named after former President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav made this announcement in the Waqf Sudhar Janjagran Abhiyan program organized at Samatva Bhavan (Chief Minister’s residence). Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Waqf is a donated property. Donated property should be used in the interest of society. This amendment has been made in the new Waqf law. The law removes the earlier distortions. Through the Waqf law, it has been ensured that Waqf properties are kept safe. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the work of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is being appreciated all over the world. Prime Minister Modi’s respect in Arab countries like Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran etc. is India’s respect. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that all the parties and leaders of the country have united in protest against the action taken by the external enemy. This is the beauty of India. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that those who knowingly or unknowingly left India and went to Pakistan during the partition of the country in 1947 are called Muhajirs there and their condition is bad. He said that people of the society should be cautious of smart, selfish and cunning people. In this context, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also narrated the story of a juggler selling toothpaste on the pretext of showing the fight between a snake and a mongoose. Madhya Pradesh Waqf Board is an ideal board. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh Waqf Board is the ideal Waqf Board of the country. For this, he also praised Minority Welfare Minister Mrs. Krishna Gaur, Board Chairman Sanwar Patel and departmental officials. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav asked the department officials to make schemes in the interest of the society. The Center contributes 60 percent in the schemes and the state contributes 40 percent. He said that we will give 40 percent contribution of the state, the officials should prepare the schemes. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also assured to resolve the difficulty being faced in the payment of salary allowance of the employees of the Waqf Board.
Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Backward Classes and Minority Welfare, Smt. Krishna Gaur said that Madhya Pradesh is cooperating in registering all Waqf properties on the national portal provided under the new amendment act. Madhya Pradesh is the first state in the country to take such an initiative. The excellent work of the State Government’s Waqf Board and Minority Welfare Department has also been appreciated by the team of IIT Delhi, an institution advising the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India. At present, the work of digitization of original records maintained in the State Waqf Board has been completed. She informed that the work of registering land details of Waqf properties and GPS survey is being done with the cooperation of the Revenue Department. Financial flow, human resources and judicial case tracking system etc. are being developed for proper management of Waqf properties. Smt. Gaur said that the Waqf Amendment Bill will remove the discrepancies prevailing in Waqf properties for years and they can be used in the interest of the society. Madhya Pradesh will set an ideal example in this work. Madhya Pradesh Waqf Board Chairman Sanwar Patel gave detailed information about the work being done by the Waqf Board. He also gave information about various provisions of the Waqf Amendment. On this occasion, Olympian hockey player Sameer Dad, intellectuals, Ulema etc. were present.
