Sindhi Community’s Invaluable Contribution to Chhattisgarh’s Economic Progress: BrijMohan Agrawal

BrijMohan Agrawal, BJP’s Lok Sabha candidate, highlighted the significant role played by the Sindhi community in Chhattisgarh’s economic development during the “Chetichand Festival” celebrations. He addressed people gathered at the special event held at Jai Stambh Chowk in the capital city of Raipur.

Agrawal emphasized that the festival is not only a celebration of Sindhi culture and traditions but also an important occasion for all residents of Chhattisgarh. Various cultural programs including dance, music, and dramas were organized to showcase the rich heritage of the Sindhi community during the festival. Prominent figures such as social leader Yudhishthir Lal Sahab, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, MP Sunil Soni, MLA Purandar Mishra, and former MLA Shri Chand Sundrani were present at the event.

Prior to attending the festival, Brij Mohan Agrawal sought blessings at the Jhulelal Temple in Tilda and participated in the Bhagwan Jhulelal Jayanti celebrations as part of the “Chetichand Festival”. This festival holds significant importance for Sindhi Hindus as it marks the first day of the Hindu lunar calendar. It is celebrated as the appearance day of Lord Varunavatar Swami Jhulelal and includes rituals such as sea worship.
