Raipur. Commissioner Abinash Mishra today inspected Shastri Market, Malviya Road, Jawahar Bazaar, one of the old markets of the city, and met the officials of the traders association. During this time he founded Raipur Smart City Ltd. And took information about the facilities available in the women’s and men’s toilets built by the Municipal Corporation. Shri Mishra has directed the corporation officials to organize cleanliness awareness programs every week in public places, markets etc. with the help of social and voluntary organizations.
Under the special cleanliness campaign, the Municipal Corporation’s zone and sanitation staff are currently busy in strengthening the cleanliness system in all the wards. Commissioner Shri Mishra has also assigned the responsibility to all the Additional Commissioners, Health Officers and Zone Commissioners to work on mission mode to improve the system. The Municipal Corporation Commissioner himself is continuously conducting surprise inspections and is also communicating directly with the common people and appealing for everyone’s participation in the mega campaign of cleanliness.
Corporation Commissioner Mishra visited Shastri Market today and took information about the progress of the ongoing construction work in the under-construction Shastri Market Complex. Raipur Smart City Chief Operating Officer Mr. Ujjwal Porwal, General Manager (E.&T.) Mr. P.K. Panchayati, Assistant Manager Shri Yogendra Sahu was with him during this time. The construction agency informed that this project will be completed by the coming March and orderly market operations will be ensured. He has also directed the corporation officials to streamline the route of this project. During the inspection of wholesale and Chilhar vegetable markets, he also met small businessmen and asked them to dispose of the generated waste systematically. He has directed Zone Commissioner Mr. Rakesh Sharma to make arrangements for the disposal of waste in the vegetable and mutton market under the supervision of the Zone Health Officer, if there is a need for an additional vehicle.
