MPPSC 2025, Increase in Recruitment Posts to Be Decided Next Week

Indore (MPPSC Exam 2025) – The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has announced the State Service Examination 2025. According to the notification issued on December 31, 158 posts are open for recruitment, but many candidates are unhappy with this number. They are urging the commission to increase the number of available posts. Candidates have voiced their concerns on social media, stating that this year MPPSC is recruiting for the fewest positions. They believe that the number should be increased, especially considering that over one lakh applications are received for the exam. This means that around 200 candidates will be competing for each post. The commission has already written to various departments requesting them to consider increasing the number of posts. A meeting to discuss this matter will be held next week. Ravindra Panchbhai, the OSD of the commission, explained that decisions regarding the increase in posts are made at the department level. A letter has already been sent to the concerned departments, but they have not yet provided any feedback. If the departments agree, they can increase the posts before the exam. The PSC 2025 exam is scheduled for February 16.

Applications for the exam were accepted until January 17. The Commission’s notification for PSC-2025 invited applications for 158 posts, including positions such as 10 SDMs, 22 DCPs, one Commercial Tax Officer, one Finance Service post, two Assistant Directors for Public Relations, 10 Additional Assistant Development Commissioners, 65 Child Development Project Officers, and five Commercial Tax Inspectors. However, candidates are demanding more posts. They have started a campaign on social media, highlighting vacant positions in various departments. According to the candidates, there are currently more than 700 vacancies across multiple departments. While the situation remains unclear from the commission’s side, it is worth noting that last year the MPPSC had initially announced only 50 posts for the PSC 2024 exam. Following protests, the number of posts was eventually increased to 110. Candidates are now hoping for a similar increase for PSC 2025. Ravindra Panchbhai emphasized that decisions about the increase in posts are made at the department level. The Commission has already sent letters to the departments, but they have not yet provided any direction on the matter. Once the departments respond, they can decide whether to increase the number of posts before the exam. The PSC 2025 exam will be conducted on February 16.
