Provide better facilities for training of players for National Games-2025: Minister Sarang

bhopal: Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang has said that for the National Games-2025, better facilities should be provided to the players along with training. He said that security should also be taken care of. Minister Sarang reviewed the National Games-2025 with the officials of the Sports Department in the Ministry on Friday. Minister Sarang said that better facilities should be provided to the players who qualify for the National Games. They should be trained by trained trainers. All the players should be encouraged to perform better and win gold medals. Minister Sarang said that by grouping similar games, 4-5 groups should be formed and different sports officers should be given the responsibility of those groups. This will not cause any inconvenience to the players and the sports officer will be in constant touch with the players. Constant communication with the players will motivate them and their problems will be resolved immediately.

It was told in the meeting that last time a total of 112 medals were won, in which Madhya Pradesh stood fourth by winning 38 gold, 33 silver and 39 bronze medals. Minister Sarang said that there are many possibilities, encouragement is needed. This time the players of Madhya Pradesh will perform even better and achieve the leading position. Minister Sarang discussed the possibilities of players from Madhya Pradesh in all the games participating in the National Games. He said that arrangements should be made to send the participating coaches and players to a pre-determined location.

It was told in the meeting that the upcoming National Games will be held in Uttarakhand. 36 games have been included in it. The opening ceremony will be held in Dehradun on 28 January. Along with Dehradun, Haridwar, Shivpuri Rishikesh, Koti Colony Tehri, Rudrapur, Uttam Singh Nagar, Sat Tal (Bheem Tal), Haldwani, Almora, Pithoragarh and Tanakpur have been designated as places for the National Games. In the meeting, necessary preparations for the 38th National Games Uttarakhand-2025, national sports eligibility, sports training camp, kit, railway reservation etc. were also discussed. Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Manu Shrivastava, Sports Director Mr. Ravi Kumar Gupta, Joint Director Mr. B.L. Yadav, Deputy Secretary Mr. Sanjay Jain and other sports officials were present in the meeting.
