NTPC Korba’s Chimes: Anand Mela 2024 sparkles with joy and grandeur
Korba. In a brilliant display of community spirit, the enchanting Anand Mela 2024 organized its vibrant fest on 5th January 2024 at NTPC Korba. Organized by Maitri Mahila Mandal, the annual festival was a grand event, reflecting the spirit of togetherness and happiness. This fair was organized for two days on 5 and 6 January 2024. The theme chosen for this year’s festival is “Jhankar”, which reflects the music in people’s lives.
The inauguration ceremony took place in the presence of Chief Guest C. Shivakumar, Regional Executive Director (WR II, USSC & ASH NI), C. Padmaja, President, Arpita Mahila Samiti, Madhu S., Project Head (Korba). Archana Pujari, President, Sangwari Mahila Samiti also showed her dignified presence during Anand Mela 2024 at NTPC Korba and was welcomed by Kasturi Maitra, Acting President, Maitri Mahila Samiti. ,
Other dignitaries Arnab Maitra, General Manager (Operation & Maintenance), Anup Kumar Mishra, General Manager (Project Construction), S.P. Singh, General Manager (Fuel Maintenance), Somnath Bhattacharjee, General Manager (Maintenance), Manish V. Sathe, General Manager ( Ash Dyke Management),A.R. Mandal, General Manager (C&I Maintenance), Prabhat Ram, Additional General Manager (HR), other senior officials of NTPC Korba, Unions and Associations, Welfare Bodies, CISF and Ladies Club were also present. On this occasion, members of Maitri Mahila Samiti, which was the lifeblood of Anand Mela 2024, were also present.
C. Shivakumar, Regional Executive Director (WR II, USSC & ASH NI) along with other distinguished guests of the convoy were welcomed with ‘Karma Dance’ followed by ribbon cutting ceremony. The inauguration began with traditional Ganesh Puja, followed by a joyous cake-cutting ceremony and balloon release by the distinguished guests and senior members of the Ladies Club. The event took a heart-touching turn when the special guests along with Maitri Mahila Samiti inspected the various stalls and the real fun of the fair came to the fore.
