More than one lakh people got a permanent house
Bhopal. Shahdol district has achieved a great achievement in Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) and Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyay Maha Abhiyan (PM Jan-Man). Here one lakh 16 eligible beneficiaries have been given the gift of permanent houses. There are 23 gram panchayats here, which have achieved their 100% target by benefiting all their eligible beneficiaries with these housing schemes. As per the intention of the government, every eligible person here is being given the benefits of a permanent house along with subsidized cylinder under PM Ujjwala Yojana, electricity in every house, tap water in every house, access road to the village, along with all the scheme related to education, health, nutrition diet and skill development.
In Shahdol district, till 31 August 2024, 18 thousand 753 houses have been completed in Janpad Panchayat Byahari, 25 thousand 394 in Janpad Panchayat Budhar, 14 thousand 614 in Janpad Panchayat Gohparu, 25 thousand 32 in Janpad Panchayat Jaisinghnagar and 16 thousand 223 houses in Janpad Panchayat Sohagpur and handed over to the respective beneficiaries. Here the houses of 58 thousand 932 families of Scheduled Tribe category, 9 thousand 255 families of Scheduled Caste category and 31 thousand 829 families of other categories have been completed.
23 Gram Panchayats of the district have achieved 100% target by completing the construction of houses of all their identified beneficiaries within the time limit. 12 Gram Panchayats here have completed the construction of more than 500 pucca houses. The maximum number of one thousand 29 houses have been prepared in Gram Panchayat Kuan.
It is noteworthy that under various categories of housing schemes, 1 lakh 3 thousand 713 houses have been sanctioned in Shahdol district. Out of these, construction of 1 lakh 16 houses has been completed. Construction of the remaining houses is going on at a fast pace.
