Joint Secretary Mishra inspected the works of smart metering
Bhopal. Joint Secretary, Ministry of Energy, Government of India, Mr. Shashank Mishra on Sunday saw the smart meters being installed in the premises of consumers in Danishkunj and Virasha Heights of Bhopal city and reviewed the works and progress of smart metering.
During the inspection, Mr. Mishra saw the works of smart metering being installed by the Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company as well as the survey of consumers and the process of installing meters before smart metering. During this, consumers were told about the benefits of smart metering and the smart metering app was also installed on the consumer’s mobile, so that they can get real time information about the electricity consumption of their house. On this occasion, Director (Commercial) of Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company, Mr. Sudhir Kumar Srivastava and General Manager Bhopal City Mr. B.B.S. Parihar along with other officers and employees were present.
It is worth noting that till now about 35 thousand smart meters have been installed in the area of Madhya Kshetra Vidyut Vitran Company, and this work is going on continuously.
