Health services are within the reach of every citizen

Madhya Pradesh has now become a centre of health services. In the last six months, the coming together of the Health Department and Medical Education Departments has made it easier to get health services. The historic decision to merge these two departments was taken by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. With the extensive reforms in the health sector under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the health of citizens has now been made a measure of development. The steps taken by the central and state governments together for “Developed India” have made it easier to expand health services and its results have also started coming.

PM Shri Air Ambulance Service Scheme

‘PM Shri Air Ambulance Service’ is a unique initiative for the citizens of Madhya Pradesh. It will become easier to get special type of medical facilities in emergency situations. Medical experts will also be able to reach difficult geographical areas. Patients can be airlifted to higher medical centers.

PM Shri Air Ambulance Service will provide air service for immediate treatment to seriously injured people in accidents on roads and industrial sites, natural disasters. In case of heart related or other serious diseases in which the patient needs immediate treatment, air transport facility will be available to the patients for quick treatment in good and top medical institutions.

‘Heli Ambulance’ and ‘Fixed Wing Converted Flying Ambulance’ have been started for the operation of air ambulance service. These will be deployed in the service of citizens of all districts and administrative departments. A team of highly trained medical and paramedical staff will be deployed in the air ambulance. As per medical requirement, the patients of the state will be air transported to Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad or other top medical institutions of the country.

The victim of road and industrial accident or natural disaster will be transported free of cost to government or private hospitals within and outside the state. For Ayushman card holders, free transportation will be provided to all government and Ayushman affiliated hospitals within and outside the state. For the treatment of those who are not Ayushman card holders, free transportation will be provided to government hospitals within the state, while paid transportation will be provided at contracted rates to any hospital outside the state.

Merger of Public Health and Medical Education Departments

The Public Health and Family Welfare Department and the Medical Education Department have been merged and reorganized as “Public Health and Medical Education Department”. With this decision, medical colleges will be able to focus on critical/specialized treatment, medical education instead of providing routine medical services. Infant mortality rate and maternal mortality rate will be effectively monitored.

It will become easier to associate district hospitals with medical colleges. This will facilitate better implementation and control of health policy and departmental schemes.

Country’s first Prasadam established in Mahakal Lok Complex

Prasadam has been developed at a cost of Rs 1 crore 75 lakh between Neelkanth Forest Complex and Avantika Haat of Shri Mahakal Mahalok in Ujjain under the ‘Clean Street Food Hub’ program of Food and Safety Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) for the availability of environmental cleanliness, nutritious and hygienic food along with health services. Keeping in mind the health of the devotees in Mahakal Lok Parisar, the operation of Chief Minister Sanjeevani Clinic is going to start soon at Mahakal Lok Parisar, Neelkanth Gate, keeping in mind the health of more than 1 lakh devotees on an average daily. Emergency health service can be provided in this. Prasadam established in Mahakal Lok Parisar is the first such model in the country.

Nursing college along with medical college to increase health services

Nursing colleges are going to be built in 13 districts of the state, Datia, Khandwa, Ratlam, Shahdol, Vidisha, Chhindwara, Shivpuri, Satna, Rajgarh, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Sheopur and Singrauli. An approval of Rs 14.80 crore has been given for each nursing college. Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav has taken the initiative to establish new nursing colleges along with medical colleges and has given administrative approval of Rs 192.40 crore. With this, all the citizens of these districts and nearby areas will be able to get the benefit of medical facilities and students will be able to get nursing cadre education easily.

Health services will be strengthened in view of Simhastha-2028

In view of Simhastha 2028 event in Ujjain, administrative approval of Rs 592.30 crore has been given for civil works for the construction of a new government medical college to strengthen health services. With the construction of the medical college, the people of the surrounding districts will also get the benefit of high level medical facilities.

In case of institutional death, road accident/disaster during treatment in government hospitals, the body of the deceased will be respectfully transported to the destination by free hearse.

Approval has been given to establish medical colleges on PPP mode. With the establishment of the medical college, tertiary level services will be available to the patients of the district. This decision has been taken to provide human resources for the health sector and to provide high level health services to the patients by upgrading the district hospitals.
