Green energy plant will make stubble and straw useful: Deputy Chief Minister

Bhopal. Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla reviewed the Green Energy Project in a meeting held at the Commissioner’s Office Auditorium, Rewa. The Deputy Chief Minister said that paddy and wheat are being produced in abundance after irrigation from the canals of Bansagar Dam in Rewa, Satna and Mauganj districts. With the establishment of Green Energy Plant, farmers will also earn lakhs from less fertile and fallow lands. Electricity and organic fertilizer will be produced from paddy straw (parali) in the Green Energy Plant. Straw is available in sufficient quantity to set up three Green Energy Plants in Rewa district. Immediately start the work of the proposed Green Energy Plant in Gurh. The raw material for this plant will be easily available by growing straw and Navier grass in less fertile areas. The company should complete the survey work soon and start the actual construction work. The establishment of this plant will also solve the problem of burning stubble and straw in the district. Now along with paddy, its straw will also give income to the farmer. One thousand hectares of land is available for the plant in Mauganj district. Apply for land and plant within 7 days. Give concrete shape to the action plan to set up two plants in Gurh and one in Sirmaur.

In the meeting, Collector Mauganj told that one thousand hectares of land is available in Badwar Sitapur Road for the green energy plant. 95 percent of this land is private land. Farmers will easily give it when they get good income. Land will be obtained from farmers on the basis of contract. Collector Rewa Mrs. Pratibha Pal told that sufficient straw is available to set up three plants. Wheat crop residue and useless plants obtained from forests can also be used in green energy plants. Gurh plant will also get straw from paddy producing Churhat of Sidhi district and Rampur Naikin area connected to Rewa. Collector Satna Anurag Verma told that work of green energy plant is going on in Nagaud.

In the meeting, representatives of Reliance Green Energy Project Ashok Khare and Vijay Jha said that our company wants to set up ten green energy plants in Rewa and Satna districts and a survey is being conducted for this. Wheat and paddy crop residue straw will be used as raw material in the plant. 22 thousand metric tonnes of straw will be required for one plant. Along with straw, Napier grass, which grows easily on fallow and unused land, will also be used as raw material. Green energy plant will produce compress, biogas, hydrogen and methane. This will also produce organic fertilizer on a large scale. A large number of trained youth will be required to compress the straw of farmers and make it as raw material. This will also create employment. The fallow and less fertile land of farmers will also give good profit. Napier grass will be cultivated with farmers on the basis of contract. Green energy plant will change the fate of farmers along with energy production.
