Bhopal. Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla has said that the government is committed to provide excellent medical services in every area of Madhya Pradesh. He said that all appropriate efforts are being made to ensure the availability of state-of-the-art facilities and medical experts in government institutions. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla reviewed the pilot project based on private participation to provide high-level cardiac medical services at Jai Prakash District Hospital Bhopal in the Secretariat.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla said that increasing the capacity of health services is necessary to deal with the increasing burden of treatment of heart disease. He said that this pilot project will play an important role in strengthening high-level cardiac medical services in Madhya Pradesh and expanding the reach of health services. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla gave necessary guidelines for the upgradation of District Hospital Rewa and early execution of construction works of District Hospital Mauganj. Principal Secretary Health and Medical Education Shri Sandeep Yadav, Additional Commissioner Medical Education Dr. Pankaj Jain and departmental officers were present.
Health services will be strengthened
As a pilot project, it is proposed to operate a 30-bedded Cath-Lab cum Cardiac Superspeciality Unit in Government Jai Prakash District Hospital with private participation. Which can be expanded to 50 beds in future. The selected service provider will be provided rent-free space in the hospital premises to set up the Cath Lab. The service provider will ensure the availability of all necessary equipment, trained human resources etc. This will expand the reach of advanced medical services related to heart disease.
It is proposed to provide free service to BPL and Ayushman card holders in the Cath-Lab cum Cardiac Super-Speciality Center. The institution will generate permanent revenue from the services provided at the rates fixed under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme. The rates of services provided through the Cath-Lab will be fixed on the basis of Cardiology and Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery (CTVS) under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme.
The following services will be offered at the Cath-Lab cum Cardiac Super-Speciality Centre
The Cath-Lab cum Cardiac Super-Speciality Centre will offer Diagnostic Services- Cardiac Catheterisation, Angiography, Echocardiography, Electrocardiography (ECG) and Holter Monitoring, Interventional Services- Angioplasty, Stent Implantation, Pace-Maker and ICD Implantation, Balloon Valvuloplasty, Electro-Physiological Studies, Radio Frequency Ablation Surgical Services- Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting, Valve Repair, Surgery for Congenital Heart Defects, Aortic Aneurysm Repair, Ancillary Services including Cardiac Rehabilitation Programme, Outpatient Consultation, Emergency Cardiac Care Services.
