But the ground reality is completely different from this. Even today, teachers and other staff in hundreds of private schools of the state are forced to work on very low salaries. The thing to think about is that the government has already given a clear order on this issue, but its effect is not visible on the ground.

Kotia had ordered that the ICSE and CBSE schools of the state will have to pay the same salary and allowances to their teachers and employees as the government pays in aided schools. But even today this order is buried in files and does not seem to be implemented. Schools are deciding the salary of teachers on their own In 2018, CBSE had also clearly stated in Chapter-5 of its affiliation bylaws that private schools will have to pay their teachers according to the guidelines set by the government. But despite this, most schools still decide the salary on their own. There are no clear rules, no transparency, and no concern for accountability.
