Efforts should be made with public participation for 100% enrollment of children in government schools
Bhopal. School Education and Transport Minister Uday Pratap Singh has directed that it should be ensured that 100% children get admission in class 1 in government schools. He also asked to send information about the facilities available in government schools like free uniforms, textbooks and mid-day meals to the homes of the parents of the children through teachers, Anganwadi workers, secretaries and employment assistants. The School Education Minister was addressing a meeting of district officials in Narsinghpur on Saturday. The progress of government schemes in Gadarwara area was also reviewed in the meeting.
In the meeting, the School Education Minister also asked for the process of surprise inspection of government schools to be done continuously. He said that strict action should be taken against teachers who are found absent in schools. Minister Mr. Singh expressed displeasure over receiving increased electricity bills of farmer consumers in the district. He directed to make special arrangements for hearing such farmers. Minister Mr. Singh also talked about replacing burnt transformers in Gadarwara area soon. He said that in some areas complaints are being received about farmers being given bills by increasing the horse-power of agricultural pumps. He also asked for strict action against the culprits for this.
Review of Nal-Jal Yojana
The School Education Minister also reviewed the Jal-Jeevan Mission in Gadarwara area. He said that those contractors who have not been able to start the work in the stipulated time should be penalized. Despite this, if there is no improvement, the company should be blacklisted. The Nal-Jal Yojana whose work has been completed should be handed over to the concerned Gram Panchayats. The construction works of PIU agency were also reviewed in the meeting. He said that there will be no compromise with the quality in the construction works. All construction works should be completed in the stipulated time.
Review of Pradhan Mantri Jan-Man Yojana
The works of Pradhan Mantri Jan-Man Yojana were also reviewed in the meeting. It was told in the meeting that road construction work should be completed on time for the people of Bharia tribe living in remote tribal areas of Chichli Janpad Panchayat. Through this ambitious scheme, better facilities of safe housing, clean drinking water, education, health and nutrition facilities are to be provided in scheduled tribe areas. He instructed the officers to spend more time in the field. Collector Smt. Sheetla Patel gave information about the progress of government schemes in the meeting. Local public representatives were present on this occasion.
