Development of the capital Bhopal and the state will happen in accordance with the vision of Prime Minister Shri Modi: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the kind of convention center that was needed for big events in the state capital Bhopal will be fulfilled by the expansion of Kushabhau Thackeray International Convention Center (Minto Hall) and a new convention center. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the Global Investors Summit organized at the National Human Museum was successful. On this occasion, the need for a convention center in Bhopal was felt. Within a few days of the announcement of setting up such a center, its approval has been received from the Central Government. In this way, it has emerged as the first important project of the new Union Budget and the work of development of this center will start soon. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, along with development in various fields, important work is being done to expand public facilities in cities. The development of the capital Bhopal and the state will be in accordance with the vision of Prime Minister Shri Modi.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the gathering after performing the ground breaking ceremony of the new convention centre proposed in the convention centre complex in the main hall of Kushabhau Thackeray Convention Centre on Friday evening. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav directed the tourism department officials to complete the construction of this new convention centre at a cost of Rs 100 crore in the same way as the architecture and design of the current convention centre. This centre will prove useful for high level meetings as well as business events and big conferences.
Bhopal is also the Tiger Capital
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that tourism is the identity of Madhya Pradesh. Bhopal’s natural beauty was a topic of discussion among the participants of the Global Investors Summit held recently in Bhopal. The state is getting a new identity in wildlife tourism. Madhya Pradesh has the highest number of tigers in the country. Madhav National Park has been declared the 9th Tiger Reserve in the state. A unique example of co-existence of humans and wildlife can be seen in the capital Bhopal, where the distance of Jhiri-Dwar of Ratapani Sanctuary is just 4-5 kilometers from the city. Looking at the number of tigers here, Bhopal can be considered the Tiger Capital. Gharials can also be found in Bhopal’s lake. Madhya Pradesh is the only state in our country where there is a settlement of cheetahs, a Gharial Sanctuary in the Chambal region and many Tiger Reserves in the state.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has fulfilled the quote of Swami Vivekananda, in which it was predicted that the 21st century would belong to India. Prime Minister Shri Modi has made unprecedented efforts in all areas of development. India has left England behind as an economic power. In accordance with the vision of Prime Minister Shri Modi, many important steps have been taken for tourism development in Madhya Pradesh. Khajuraho was the first airport in the state. Now air services will be expanded rapidly in the state. The trade sector will benefit greatly from this. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav expressed happiness over the participation of representatives of industry and business world, especially those associated with hotel and tourism industry, in the Bhoomi-Poojan program.
Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Shri Chaitanya Kumar Kashyap said that with the bhoomi-pujan of this convention centre, the implementation of the announcement of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav on February 25 has started within 10 days. The success of the Global Investors Summit has created an atmosphere of enthusiasm. A large number of investors are coming to Madhya Pradesh. Certainly, an atmosphere of industrial development will be created in the state. While Ujjain is a symbol of the philosophy of justice and development of Emperor Vikramaditya, the state capital Bhopal is moving towards creating a new identity with ultra-modern services.
Senior MP Shri V.D. Sharma said that visionary Chief Minister Dr. Yadav had pointed out the need for building such a convenient convention center in Bhopal. The difficulties being faced in organizing many events due to the low capacity of the current convention center will end after the construction of the new center. The beauty of Bhopal has become the identity of the city. Prime Minister Shri Modi was also impressed by seeing the beautification of Bhopal. In the program, Tourism Minister Shri Dharmendra Singh Lodhi congratulated Bhopal for this important gift through a video message.
What will the new convention center be like?
The new centre will be built and equipped with modern technology in the premises of the present centre. The new structure will have ground floor, lower floor, first and second floor. There will be a cultural centre between the present Kushabhau Thackeray auditorium and the proposed buildings, which will have kiosks that will help in displaying and selling local handicrafts during conferences.
The new centre will have an auditorium with a capacity of about 1500 persons, a hall for 300 persons, a meeting hall for 200 persons, a dining hall with a capacity of 2000 persons and a lawn with dining facility for 2000 persons, a convention hall with a capacity of 3000 persons in the current and new building combined, which has the capacity to accommodate 4500 persons, 15 fully equipped rooms for guests, including 5 suites and 10 extra large rooms with a total capacity of 40 beds, buffer open space between the old and new buildings (facilities for social, cultural programmes and exhibitions), a dining restaurant for 300 persons, business centre (press lounge, travel desk, money changer, private lounge and tea lounge), modern building management, fire fighting system and audio-video with modern technology and acoustic interiors, along with a banquet hall with a capacity of 2000 persons. It will also have parking facility for 400 vehicles.
Both the Kushabhau Thackeray International Convention Centre and the proposed new convention centre complexes will be connected by a corridor. This centre, which will be completed in the year 2026, will definitely be a unique gift for Bhopal.
MLA Shri Rameshwar Sharma, MLA Shri Bhagwandas Sabnani, Chairman Municipal Corporation Bhopal Shri Krishna Suryavanshi and public representatives were present in the program.
