Chief Minister Dr. Yadav visited many historical places in Chanderi
Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav visited many historical places during his visit to Chanderi in Ashoknagar district today. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav reached the Samadhi of Baiju Bawra and Jauhar Memorial located at Kila Kothi and paid tribute. He visited the Laxman Temple in Chanderi and offered prayers. He also visited the Handloom Park in Chanderi and interacted with the weavers. During this, the Chief Minister also did a road show in the city, the citizens welcomed the Chief Minister by showering flowers. The Chief Minister greeted the citizens.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the Jauhar Memorial of Chanderi is a golden chapter in the glorious history of the country which is a symbol of the brilliance and purity of the mother power. The Chief Minister paid tribute to the Jauhar Memorial and also saluted those 1600 Kshatranis including Rani Manimala, who had committed Jauhar on 29 January 1528 to protect the honor and self-respect of the mother power.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav visited the Samadhi Sthal of Madhya Pradesh’s gem, great singer Shri Baiju Bawra in Chanderi and paid his respects. He said that the life of Shri Baiju Bawra, dedicated to music, will continue to inspire future generations to practice music.
Chief Minister understood the working style of handloom
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav visited the Handloom Park in Chanderi and interacted with the weavers. He understood the working style of handloom and also operated the loom machine himself. Chief Minister discussed with weavers Mohammad Iqbal, Ragini Koli, Mohammad Anas and Kanhaiya Kumar and appreciated their hard work and art.
Chanderi is attracting the world with its art
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that these weavers who weave the warp and weft of Chanderi sarees are keeping pace with modern technology while preserving the traditional art and are attracting the world towards Chanderi with the shine of their sarees. During this, he also saw Chanderi sarees and other products made by the weavers.
Reached Laxman temple in Chanderi and offered prayers
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav offered prayers at Laxman temple in Chanderi as per rituals and also planted a Kadamba plant in the temple premises. He also offered prayers to Santoshi cow and fed her jaggery. The Chief Minister visited the temple premises. In the temple premises, children gave presentations based on the deeds of Lord Krishna. Also, the presentations of Madhya Pradesh Police Band won everyone’s heart. On this occasion, District In-charge Minister Shri Rakesh Shukla along with public representatives, officials and a large number of citizens were present.
