Good News for Job Seekers in Uttarakhand: 439 Assistant Professor Vacancies in Government Medical Colleges
There’s great news for young professionals looking for government jobs in Uttarakhand! The Uttarakhand Medical Services Selection Board (UKMSSB) has announced recruitment for 439 Assistant Professor positions in government medical colleges. The official notification has been released, and the application process will start from March 1, 2025, with the last date to apply being March 21, 2025. Interested candidates can submit their applications through the official website ukmssb.org. Out of the total vacancies, 218 positions are for the General (Unreserved) category, 112 for SC, 9 for ST, 68 for OBC, and 32 for EWS. The selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹67,700 to ₹2,08,700 (Level-11 pay scale).

Nursing Officer Recruitment Update
Meanwhile, Health Minister Dhan Singh Rawat has directed officials to appoint Nursing Officers within two weeks. A total of 1,314 Nursing Officers, selected through the Uttarakhand Medical Services Selection Board, will be deployed in five government medical colleges and a cancer institute.
The appointments will be distributed as follows:
- Government Medical College Dehradun: 323 positions
- Government Medical College Haldwani: 320 positions
- Government Medical College Rudrapur: 310 positions
- Government Medical College Almora: 207 positions
- Government Medical College Srinagar: 300 positions
- State Cancer Institute, Haldwani: 64 positions
All selected Nursing Officers will be posted against vacant positions in these institutions, ensuring better healthcare services in the state.
