Bring speed in all the projects related to Narmada Basin – Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the implementation of projects related to Narmada Basin should be accelerated so that farmers in all areas get sufficient water for irrigation. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing while presiding over the 32nd meeting of the Board of Directors of Narmada Basin Projects Company Limited at Samatva Bhavan (Chief Minister’s residence) on Tuesday. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that instructions were given to make proper arrangements to deliver water to the tail end of all the farmers’ fields. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav discussed the company’s functioning and future plans, so that development work in the area can be taken forward more effectively. Additional Chief Secretary and Managing Director of Narmada Basin Projects Company Limited Dr. Rajesh Rajoura, Director Shri Hirdaram Chauhan and other members were present in the meeting at the Chief Minister’s Office.
In the meeting, the Managing Director of the company, Dr. Rajoura, gave detailed information on the progress of the company, the current status of the ongoing projects and the upcoming plans. Informing Chief Minister Dr. Yadav that the work of Narmada Shipra Link Multipurpose Project is in its final stage, the MD of the company, Dr. Rajesh Rajoura, said that the ground-breaking ceremony of a lift irrigation project in Khandwa district and a big project in Dhar district is proposed.
Various issues and development plans were discussed in the meeting. Officials informed that this year more rapid and effective efforts will be made by Narmada Basin Projects Company Limited for the speedy implementation of all the proposed schemes for regional development and strengthening of infrastructure.
