Film City and Cultural Center to be built in Chhattisgarh, tourism will get a boost

Raipur, 28 November 2024: Chhattisgarh Tourism Board has received a major achievement from the Central Government due to the efforts of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai. The Central Government has approved an amount of Rs 147.66 crore for two important tourism projects of the state under Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment 2024-25. This includes the construction of Chitrotpala Film City in Mana Tuta Raipur at a cost of Rs 95.79 crore and construction of Tribal and Cultural Convention Center in Mana Tuta Raipur at a cost of Rs 51.87 crore. The launch of these projects in Chhattisgarh will help in strengthening the tourism infrastructure in the state and presenting the local culture at the global level. These schemes will prove to be helpful in employment generation, development and establishing Chhattisgarh on the global map of tourism.
On the instructions of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, Managing Director of Chhattisgarh Tourism Board, Vivek Acharya met Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat in New Delhi on 15 October 2024 and gave information about the tourism activities of Chhattisgarh and presented proposals of about Rs 300 crore for Film City, Convention Center, Wellness Resort and Nature City in the capital Raipur under the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment Scheme, in view of which approval of Rs 147.66 crore has been received from the Central Government for the construction of Film City and Convention Center.
This concrete step of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India has opened the doors of immense possibilities for film making and film tourism in Chhattisgarh through the construction of Film City. This success is a significant step for the tourism development of Chhattisgarh and opens new opportunities towards establishing the state as a global tourist destination.
