Prabhas contributes ₹35 Lakh to Telugu Film Directors Association for Director's Day Celebrations
Prabhas, a prominent Indian actor known for his work in Telugu cinema, has contributed ₹35 lakh to the Telugu Film Directors Association (TFDA), which will be used for the organization’s upcoming Director’s Day celebrations. Prabhas is famous for keeping a low profile, but his donation has generated a lot of buzz and appreciation within the Telugu film industry.
The TFDA publicly thanked Prabhas for his generous contribution, and members expressed their gratitude in a video that quickly went viral. The TFDA plans to use the donation to organize a Director’s Day celebration on May 4, in honor of the late Tollywood filmmaker Dasari Narayana Rao, whose birth anniversary falls on that day. Rao was a legendary figure in the Telugu film industry, having directed over 150 Telugu movies and receiving two National Film Awards. His works often highlighted social issues such as injustice, corruption, and gender discrimination. He was also known for his involvement in Tamil and Kannada films.
Prabhas is currently focused on his upcoming sci-fi action-thriller, “Kalki 2898 AD,” directed by Nag Ashwin, where he stars alongside notable actors like Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Disha Patani, and Kamal Haasan. In addition, Prabhas is working on several other high-profile projects, including a cameo role in the fantasy drama “Kanappa,” where he plays Lord Shiva, and the romantic horror comedy “The Raja Saab.” He is also set to return with the sequel to “Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire,” titled “Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam.” Moreover, “Animal” director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has confirmed his next project, “Spirit,” featuring Prabhas.
Overall, Prabhas’s contribution to the TFDA demonstrates his commitment to supporting the Telugu film industry and honoring its history while also preparing for a busy slate of exciting new projects.
