Maidaan Movie has Cancelled Just Before Release!

The much-anticipated release of Ajay Devgn’s film “Maidaan” has hit a roadblock just a day before its scheduled premiere. In a surprising turn of events, the Mysore court has delivered a significant blow to the movie, putting a halt to its theatrical debut.

Ajay Devgn stars in “Maidaan,” which is produced by Boney Kapoor. The film was set to hit the big screens on April 11th, coinciding with the festive occasion of Eid. However, just a day prior to its release, the court intervened, preventing the film from seeing the light of day.

The decision stems from allegations of plagiarism leveled against the makers of “Maidaan” by an individual named Anil Kumar. According to reports, Kumar claims that he began conceptualizing the story for the film as early as 2010, completing it in 2018 and sharing it on his LinkedIn profile. Furthermore, he alleges that he registered the story under his name in 2019.

Following the filing of Kumar’s petition, the court held a hearing, ultimately ordering a stay on the release of “Maidaan.” Additionally, the production banner, J Studios, has been instructed to respond to the allegations of literary theft.

Directed by Amit Sharma, “Maidaan” has been embroiled in controversies prior to this latest setback.
