MP NEWS : Dirty water from Kanh river coming from Indore should be prevented from mixing in Kshipra river: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav
Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that dirty water from Kanh river coming from Indore should be prevented from mixing in Kshipra river. Water treatment should be started from Dharmapuri. The water should be purified and given to the fields for irrigation. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was holding a review meeting regarding the purification of Kshipra river of Ujjain with senior officials of the Water Resources Department at Samatva Bhawan located at the Chief Minister’s residence. Additional Chief Secretary Shri Rajesh Rajoura and senior officials were present in the meeting.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that keeping Simhastha in view, better ghats should be constructed on Kshipra river. He discussed ghats of about 27 kilometers length including Shani Mandir to Goughat, Veer Durgadas ki Chhatri to Mangalnath Ghat, Mangalnath to Bherugarh Bridge, construction of ghat in front of Bhukhi Mata. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav directed that the ghats should be made smaller, so that the farm land is not affected. He directed the officials to install treatment plants as per the capacity of water increase in the command area of Kshipra River. He said that a joint meeting of the local administration of Indore and Ujjain should also be organized regarding the action plan.
