Innovation and advanced techniques in agriculture and horticulture will increase production capacity: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that Madhya Pradesh is becoming economically prosperous. According to Niti Aayog, Madhya Pradesh is the fastest progressing state in the country. The pace of progress is going to increase further in the coming times. The state government is going to make farmers self-reliant in electricity. Now farmers will generate electricity from solar energy and run pumps. If they generate more electricity than their requirement, the state government will buy electricity from the farmers and will also pay for it. Solar pumps will be made available to farmers at just 10 percent of the amount. For solar pumps up to five, three, two horse power, the remaining amount will be provided to the farmers by the state government after depositing only 10 percent of the amount. This scheme will free farmers from electricity bills. 32 lakh solar pumps will be made available in three years. Farmers will be able to generate their own electricity for running agricultural pumps, using electricity at home or for other purposes. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the Krishi Udyog Sammelan: 2025 in Sitamau (Mandsaur). Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, while praising the diverse crops being grown by the farmers of Mandsaur, Neemuch region, said that this event focused on advanced agriculture was organized in Sitamau with the aim of encouraging it by the state government.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state government is committed to make farming profitable by encouraging foreign technology and local Jugaad. We are working with the objective of getting advanced farming the status of an industry, hence efforts are on to ensure the benefit of farmers by providing proper prices of agricultural products, long term storage and food processing facilities at the local level. Many important products including oranges and bananas are produced in large quantities in Madhya Pradesh. It is necessary to ensure that their branding is also done in the name of our state. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav made all the farmers pledge to adopt advanced agriculture and to keep striving continuously to become prosperous by adopting other activities related to agriculture including horticulture, orchards, processing. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that information about stubble burning can be obtained through satellite. Burning the residue left after wheat harvest reduces the fertility of the field. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav appealed to the farmers to avoid stubble burning. He said that machines are being made available to resolve this situation and there is also a provision of subsidy on them. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal river linking project will change the lives of all the farmers of Ujjain division. Water will reach every field for irrigation.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that milk production capacity is being increased by encouraging cow rearing in the state. Cow is a symbol of our culture, to encourage cow-buffalo rearing, 25 percent subsidy will be provided on rearing 25 cows and buffaloes. Madhya Pradesh’s production in the country’s total milk production is currently 9 percent, we have to take it to 20 percent. Farmers will be provided subsidy for rearing 200 cows and buffaloes i.e. up to 8 units. Milk and curd are an integral part of our culture, the sentiment of “Whoever has a cow in his house is Gopal and whoever has a cow in his house is Gokul” is deeply ingrained in our environment. Along with good farming, the state government is also providing grants to increase activities like milk production, horticulture, orchards. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that to make their lives useful, farmers should improve every inch of the farm land. One Vrindavan village will be developed in each district of the state, where all other essential facilities including schools and colleges will be available along with special incentives for advanced agriculture. A grant of Rs. 40 per cow instead of Rs. 20 is being provided for the care of helpless, abandoned and handicapped cows. The state government has started operating air ambulance service with the objective of providing immediate help in times of disaster.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that leopards have been released in the Gandhi Sagar area recently. This will encourage tourism and local residents will get employment opportunities through home-stay and other tourism activities. The aim of the state government is to increase the income of the people of the state by encouraging all types of tourism activities including agriculture, horticulture, industries, religious activities and activities are being conducted with commitment in this direction. Various schemes are being run by the state government to improve the lives of women, poor, youth and farmers. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that CM Rise Schools will now be known as Sandipani Vidyalaya. Lord Krishna came to Ujjain for studies via Rajasthan. All the villages through which Lord Krishna passed on the entire route and wherever his divine acts took place, all those places will be developed as pilgrimage sites. Geeta Bhawans will be built in all the urban bodies of the state. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav approved 4 Sandipani Vidyalaya and one Tehsil Bhawan for Mandsaur district and announced to extend the duration of all the exhibitions of Krishi Udyog Sammelan by one more day.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, while referring to the rich archaeological heritage of Mandsaur, Neemuch region, said that the state government is making sensitive efforts for their conservation. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state government is committed to farmer welfare. He said that along with increasing the area of irrigation, facilitating the availability of electricity, the hard work of the farmer has been honored by giving Kisan Samman Nidhi. Through the river linking campaign, the area of irrigation in the state is going to expand further.
The state is continuously progressing in the field of agriculture and horticulture: Minister Kushwaha Horticulture and Food Processing Minister Narayan Singh Kushwaha has said that Madhya Pradesh is an agriculture-based state, the state is constantly progressing in the field of agriculture and horticulture. The state government’s effort is to promote production by using new advanced technology and good quality seeds in the field of horticulture along with agriculture. The Madhya Pradesh government is promoting food processing units for value addition of the produced goods. For this, many subsidy schemes are being run by the state government so that farmers can get better benefits of their production. For this, Buyer-Seller Meet is being organized by the state government. He said that horticulture has increased very rapidly in Madhya Pradesh. The state has become the leading state in the country in the production of spice crops. The state government is trying to establish food processing industries in Madhya Pradesh so that farmers can get better prices for the produced goods. He described Krishi Udyog Sammelan as an important step in this direction. He said that such events will also be organized at other places in the state.
Inauguration and Bhoomi Pujan of construction works worth 95 crores Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated the Maharishi Sandipani Vidyalaya Bhawan at Chandwasa (CM Rise School), built at a cost of 33 crore 14 lakh and the Maharishi Sandipani Vidyalaya Bhawan at Laduna, built at a cost of 33 crore 49 lakh. Along with this, the Chief Minister inaugurated the Suwasra Runija Guradia Kala Marg, built at a cost of Rs 19 crore 31 lakh and performed the Bhoomi Pujan of the combined tehsil office building Kayampur worth 9 crore 10 lakh. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav provided benefits to the beneficiaries under various schemes related to agriculture, horticulture and industry. Deputy Chief Minister Mr Jagdish Devda, Farmer Welfare and Agriculture Development Minister Mr Edal Singh Kansana, Minister in charge of Mandsaur district Mrs Nirmala Bhuria, MP Mr Sudhir Gupta, Rajya Sabha member Mr Banshilal Gurjar along with MLAs, Chief Secretary Mr Anurag Jain, ACS Horticulture and Food Processing Mr Anupam Rajan, MPIDC Managing Director Mr Chandramouli Shukla along with officials and a large number of farmers and entrepreneurs were present at the Krishi Udyog Sammelan.
FarmerSarpanches of women and TB free Gram Panchayats were honored Chief Minister Dr. Yadav honoured progressive and innovative farmers, 22 women farmers and Sarpanchs of 148 TB free Gram Panchayats. These include farmers who have brought about radical changes in farming by innovating. Exhibition overview Chief Minister Dr. Yadav visited the exhibition organized by the Agriculture and Horticulture Department at the venue. Various agricultural products along with agricultural equipment of modern technology were displayed in the exhibition.
