Chief Minister took a meeting to ensure fair price of milk to dairy farmers.
Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav took a joint meeting of Sanchi and Amul to ensure procurement of milk from milk producers of Madhya Pradesh and help dairy farmers get the right price for milk. Various possibilities were considered in the meeting that lasted till late night on 10 January in Ahmedabad.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav informed the cooperatives of Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat regarding milk collection, quality control, processing, marketing, capacity building, training, human resources, welfare schemes focused on dairy farmers to strengthen the interests of milk producers and the cooperative system. Instructions were given to prepare a roadmap for joint participation of milk federations and milk unions.
In the meeting, Minister of State for Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development Lakhan Patel, Managing Director, Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation (Amul), Jayen Mehta, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Raghavendra Singh, Principal Secretary Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department Gulshan Bamra, Managing Director M.P. State Co-operative Dairy Federation (Sanchi) Dr. Satish Kumar, President of Panchmahal Milk Union Jethabhai Bharwad from Gujarat and Mr. Mitesh Mehta, Managing Director, Panchmahal Milk Union were present. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was presented a memento on behalf of Amul and Panchmahal Milk Union.
