नई दिल्ली । वित्तीय सेवा विभाग (डीएफएस) के सचिव एम. नागराजू ने कहा कि सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के बैंक (पीएसबी) अस्तित्व और स्थिरता के दौर से आगे बढ़ चुके हैं और अब ‘विकसित भारत 2047’ की यात्रा में वृद्धि, नवाचार और नेतृत्व की बड़ी भूमिका निभाने को तैयार हैं।
वित्तीय सेवा सचिव नागराजू ने शनिवार को गुरुग्राम में दो दिवसीय पीएसबी मंथन 2025 कार्यक्रम के समापन पर यह बात कही। नागराजू ने पीएसबी मंथन कार्यक्रम को संबोधित करते हुए सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के बैंकों से वैश्विक स्तर पर मुकाबला करने की आकांक्षा रखने को कहा। उन्होंने अपने संबोधन में शासन और परिचालन लचीलेपन को मजबूत करने तथा पारंपरिक और उभरते उद्योगों में अपनी भूमिका बढ़ाने की जरूरत पर भी जोर दिया।
वित्त मंत्रालय ने जारी बयान में बताया कि वित्तीय सेवा विभाग (डीएफएस) द्वारा आयोजित ‘पीएसबी मंथन 2025’ का विषय, विकसित भारत के लिए सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र की बैंकिंग की पुनर्कल्पना था। इस कार्यक्रम में सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के बैंकों के वरिष्ठ अधिकारी, नियामक, उद्योग विशेषज्ञ, शिक्षाविद, प्रौद्योगिकीविद् और बैंकिंग व्यवसायी शामिल हुए। कार्यक्रम में ग्राहक अनुभव, शासन, नवाचार, ऋण वृद्धि, जोखिम प्रबंधन और प्रौद्योगिकी आधुनिकीकरण पर चर्चा हुई।
मंत्रालय के मुताबिक प्रख्यात वक्ताओं में भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक के डिप्टी गवर्नर स्वामीनाथन जे; देश के मुख्य आर्थिक सलाहकार वी. अनंत नागेश्वरन; सेबी के पूर्व अध्यक्ष एम. दामोदरन, आईआरडीएआई के पूर्व अध्यक्ष देबाशीष पांडा, आरबीआई के पूर्व डिप्टी गवर्नर, आर गांधी, एनएस विश्वनाथन और एमके जैन तथा एसबीआई के पूर्व अध्यक्ष रजनीश कुमार और दिनेश कुमार खारा तथा वित्तीय क्षेत्र, उद्योग, शिक्षा और प्रौद्योगिकी के कई अन्य प्रतिष्ठित नेता शामिल थे।
