YouTuber Saurabh Joshi Targeted with ₹2 Crore Extortion by Lawrence Bishnoi Gang
Famous YouTuber Saurabh Joshi from Uttarakhand has recently been threatened with an extortion demand of ₹2 crore in the name of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The police have arrested the accused, who was previously a security guard, after he resorted to this shortcut method to make money.According to the police, Saurabh Joshi reported receiving a threatening letter in which he was demanded to pay ₹2 crore. The letter also included a threat to harm a family member if he failed to comply.
The letter mentioned the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, prompting the police and Special Operations Group (SOG) to take action. They arrested the suspect from Rampur Road in Haldwani. The accused, identified as Arun Kumar, is a resident of Fatehganj Bisoli in Badaun district, Uttar Pradesh. During interrogation, he revealed that he used to work as a security guard in Mohali, Punjab, but was recently let go by his employer.
An FIR was filed at the Haldwani police station regarding the extortion demand from an unidentified person claiming to be a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Remarkably, the police managed to arrest the suspect within just 12 hours. They used CCTV footage and surveillance to track down Arun Kumar, who was caught on camera delivering the letter. He also included a mobile number in the letter, which helped in identifying him.In his pursuit of quick money, Arun Kumar threatened YouTuber Saurabh Joshi by leveraging the notorious name of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which has been a topic of discussion across the country.
