Meta had taken a decision regarding this some time ago. This was part of the company’s subscription model. An announcement regarding this was made by Meta. Now new information related to this has come to light.

The company has reduced the fees of the subscription model. The fee for Facebook has been reduced to EUR 5.99 (about Rs 540). At the same time, the fee for Instagram has been reduced to EUR 9.99 (about Rs 900). The company has taken this decision keeping privacy in mind. In fact, this policy was being opposed by privacy activists and consumer groups in Europe.
