World Ayurveda Congress: Uttarakhand can make a new record

Dehradun: Uttarakhand is on track to set a new record at the World Ayurveda Congress and Arogya Expo 2024. The registration numbers for this grand event are showing promising signs, with over 6,500 registrations already completed. The event is set to kick off on December 12. Last year, during the ninth edition held in Goa, the highest number of delegates—5,102 —attended. Based on the current registration trends, it looks like Uttarakhand will achieve a significant milestone in terms of delegate attendance. The World Ayurveda Congress has been held since 2002, and this year, Uttarakhand has the honor of hosting it. Over the years, the number of delegates has fluctuated, but if we take the registration figures into account, things are looking very positive for Uttarakhand. There seems to be a strong interest among delegates to visit the Dev Bhoomi (Land of the Gods). According to Ayush Secretary Ravinath Raman, the preparations for this major event are in full swing, and efforts are being made to make it truly exceptional. Uttarakhand is also keeping an eye on the number of countries and representatives participating in the World Ayurveda Congress and Arogya Expo 2024. Last year in Goa, 53 countries took part, with a record 295 international delegates attending. This time, Uttarakhand is expecting representatives from over 54 countries The focus is also on increasing the number of foreign delegates. Pushkar Singh Dhami, the Chief Minister, expressed, “Uttarakhand is the land of Ayush. We are fortunate to host this world-class Ayurveda event here. I hope that the discussions among experts will help awaken the world to the potential of Ayurveda.”
