Wildlife tourism will increase employment in the state: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Bhopal:  Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated the newly built “Madhav Tiger Reserve” in Shivpuri on Monday. This is the 9th National Tiger Reserve of Madhya Pradesh and the 58th National Tiger Reserve of the country. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav released a tigress brought here through the relocation process in the free habitat of the Tiger Reserve area. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that today is a historic day for the Chambal region. Tigers are being relocated in Madhav Tiger Reserve. Due to the efforts of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi towards the conservation of wildlife, the state has received the unprecedented gift of the 9th National Tiger Reserve. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav thanked Prime Minister Shri Modi for the cooperation of the Central Government. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also inaugurated the boundary wall along with the release of the logo of the Tiger Reserve.

Amazing view of co-existence of wildlife and humans in Chambal

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state government is making every possible effort to promote wildlife tourism in the Chambal region. The state has forest wealth and wildlife in large numbers. Cheetahs in Kuno of Chambal region, gharials in Chambal river and now tigers in Madhav National Park will become the center of attraction for tourists. In Chambal, wildlife and humans are living their lives together in a sense of co-existence. This wonderful sight is seen only in Chambal. With the efforts of the state government, tourism will increase here, employment opportunities will increase and new doors of development will open for the Gwalior-Chambal region.

Now the roar of the tiger will be heard in Chambal too

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the highest number of tigers in India and the world are found on the land of Madhya Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh has the status of Tiger State. Only Chambal region was left for the movement of tigers. This gap has also been fulfilled today. The inauguration of this tiger reserve area on the birth anniversary of late Madhavrao Scindia is a step forward for the overall development of the state. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav Chambal, while mentioning the immense possibilities in the case of wildlife tourism in the state, said that Madhav Tiger Reserve will write a new history. This area will now create its new identity with the rehabilitation of tigers. Wild animals like bear, leopard, deer, chinkara, wolf, jackal, porcupine, python and vulture are already living here.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav reiterated the government’s commitment towards the conservation of wildlife and said that special attention will be paid to the co-existence of other animals in the development work of the new Tiger Reserve. This is not a zoo, but a free zone, which will be open for the common people as well as wildlife. In the program, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav released the logo of Madhav Tiger Reserve and also inaugurated the boundary wall of Madhav National Park.

Wildlife tourism potential has increased in Chambal region: Union Minister Shri Scindia

Union Minister for Communications and Development of North Eastern Region Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia thanked Chief Minister Dr. Yadav for giving a historic gift to the Gwalior-Chambal region. He said that Madhav Tiger Reserve is the third revived national park in Madhya Pradesh after Panna Tiger Reserve. This has strengthened the possibilities of wildlife tourism in the Chambal region. On the initiative of Prime Minister Shri Modi, the cheetah, which had become extinct in the country, has been resettled in Kuno National Park. He had earlier released 3 tigers in Madhav National Park on 10 March 2023. Today a tigress has been released. Now the combined area of ​​​​Kuno and Madhav Tiger Reserve will exceed 3000 square kilometers. Union Minister Shri Scindia, along with Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, said that every possible effort will be made for the development of Madhav Tiger Reserve. Assembly Speaker Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, Energy Minister Shri Pradyuman Singh Tomar, Minister of State for Forests Shri Dilip Singh Ahirwar and many public representatives were present in the program.
