We will write a new chapter of cow service in Madhya Pradesh through cow shelters: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the state government is working with full determination towards cow protection and promotion in Madhya Pradesh. To fulfill the resolution of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the state government is making systematic efforts to expand cow shelters. He said that a new chapter of cow service will be written through cow shelters in the state and a new milk revolution will be brought in the state. This will not only increase milk production but will also increase the income of milk producers. Our effort is that milk producers get better prices for milk. We are making rapid efforts in this direction.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony of the state’s hi-tech Kamdhenu Gau Shala at Ashapura on Mhow-Mandleshwar road in Indore district on Saturday. There will be a system for rearing 10 thousand cows in this Gau Shala. This Gau Shala is being built in an area of about 25 hectares. This Gau Shala will be constructed by Indore Municipal Corporation. The Municipal Corporation will also take the responsibility of its maintenance. The cooperation of the saint community will also be taken in the operation of the Gau Shala. In the operation of the Gau Shala, social workers will be able to selflessly join the work of cow service. All the necessary facilities for the rearing and protection of cows will be available in the Gau Shala. Intensive plantation will also be done in the Gau Shala area. Mayor Shri Pushyamitra Bhargava, Rajya Sabha member Ms. Kavita Patidar, MLA Ms. Usha Thakur, District Panchayat President Mrs. Reena Satish Malviya, Shri Sumit Mishra, Shri Shravan Chawda, Shri Niranjan Singh Chauhan along with public representatives and Swami Shri Achyutananda Ji Maharaj were specially present in the program.
Milk producers should get better prices
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state government is making determined efforts for the betterment of all sections of the society. The economy of the state is agriculture based. There are immense employment opportunities in the agriculture sector. Continuous efforts are being made by the state government to increase the income of farmers. Our government is also making continuous efforts to increase milk production. Along with this, our efforts are to ensure that milk producers get better prices for milk. At present, 9 percent of the total milk production of the country is in Madhya Pradesh, the target is to increase it to 20 percent. He said that the problems of destitute cows in the state are being resolved through cow shelters. Cow shelters with a capacity of thousands of cows are being established in all the big cities of the state and their better operation is being ensured. In Indore too, a cow shelter with state-of-the-art facilities with a capacity of 10 thousand cows is being built. This Kamdhenu cow shelter will be amazing. He said that the participation of the society along with the government will also be ensured in the development of cow shelters. He appealed that every section of the society should participate in the running of the Gaushala with dedication and spirit of service. The state government will not allow any shortage in the development and expansion of the Gaushalas.
Serving mother cow is an important part of our culture and traditions
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that service to mother cow is an important part of our culture and traditions. 33 crore gods and goddesses reside in mother cow, who is worshipable for us. He said that the state government is constantly making efforts for the protection and promotion of cows. We have dedicated this year to the service of mother cow. A scheme has been started in the name of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar to promote cows. Under this scheme, grants will be given to cow breeders. He said that the Madhya Pradesh government is committed to cow protection and cow promotion. Policy-2025 has been made to establish self-reliant cow shelters in the state. The problem of destitute cows is being solved by establishing cow shelters.
Serve the cow and caress the calf
At the beginning of the program, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav worshipped the cow and fed the cow grass. The Chief Minister took the calf in his lap and fondled it with affection. Mayor Shri Pushyamitra Bhargava said in his address that Madhya Pradesh is witnessing rapid development in every field. A new chapter of development is being written under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. The Madhya Pradesh government is working with full determination for the protection and promotion of the cow family. The Gaushala at Hatod was renovated. It has been equipped with high-end facilities. This has increased the number of cows from 650 to 2 thousand. Indore will be the only municipal corporation in the country where there will be Gaushalas on 125 bighas of land for cow service. Swami Shri Achutanandji Maharaj said that this is the biggest project in the direction of cow protection. This Gaushala will become an excellent example for other Gaushalas in the country. The protection and promotion of the cow family has now become a mass movement.
Kamdhenu Gau Shala Ashapura (Mahu) will be equipped with all facilities
Indore Municipal Corporation has started the construction of Kamdhenu Gau Shala in Ashapura village of Mhow Tehsil. For this Gau Shala, about 25 hectares of land has been allotted by the Indore Collector and given under the control of Indore Municipal Corporation for the promotion of cows. Indore Municipal Corporation has prepared an action plan for the purpose of cow breeding on the said land. In this, about 8 sheds will be built for a total of 10 thousand cows. There will be open space with each shed for easy movement of cows. Provision of hay house and grain house has been made in the premises for storing the food of cows. A separate shed with special facilities will be built for the care of sick cows. Provision of open agricultural land has also been made for sowing green fodder. Dense plantation will be done around the pond on both sides of the road and at other designated places. A Gau Pujan Kendra will be built in the premises. Adequate arrangements for water will be made. Other necessary works will also be done.
