Emperor Vikramaditya is still an ideal for rulers: Vice President Shri Dhankhar

Bhopal: Vice President Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar has said that Emperor Vikramaditya made that era and India proud with his rule. Emperor Vikramaditya had an incomparable contribution in the development of our cultural consciousness. He is still an ideal for rulers. He was very fond of his subjects. He taught the rulers how a king should serve his subjects. During his reign, he enriched the nation of India by preserving and promoting art, culture, literature and science. Vice President Shri Dhankhar was addressing the inaugural program of Emperor Vikramaditya Mahanritya Mahamanchan organized by the Madhya Pradesh government at Madhadas Park in the Red Fort complex of Delhi on Saturday evening. Vice President Shri Dhankhar and other guests inaugurated this three-day Emperor Vikramaditya Mahanritya Mahamanchan event by lighting the lamp. Emperor Vikramaditya Mahanritya Mahamanchan will continue till April 14. The Mahamanchan started with the national anthem.

Vice President Mr Dhankhar said that our culture is an example of how easy and simple life can be with Indian life values. He said that Indianness is our identity and nationalism is our ultimate religion. Emperor Vikramaditya made an invaluable contribution to the building of the nation during his reign. Our country is changing under the able leadership of Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi. Development is taking place everywhere in India, from the depths of the earth to the heights of the sky. India’s old prestige is being restored and revived due to the foresight of Prime Minister Mr Modi. He said that language is the axis of our cultural consciousness. We should be proud of our language. In our new National Education Policy too, special emphasis has been laid on the dissemination of India’s cultural consciousness and education based on Indian knowledge traditions.

Vice President Shri Dhankhar congratulated and thanked Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav for this great event being organized by the Madhya Pradesh government in Delhi and said that this process should continue in future as well in collaboration with the Central and Delhi governments. We should always strive to promote our culture and he is happy that this work is being done with great dedication and efficiency in Madhya Pradesh. He said that we have to preserve our cultural heritage. We should strive to get it recognized at the global level.

Emperor Veer Vikramaditya was a symbol of patience, bravery and sensitivity – Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, while describing the reign of Emperor Veer Vikramaditya as a glorious period of Indian history, said that Vikramaditya has an indelible contribution in preserving and improving our culture. He only transformed governance into a system of good governance. He was a symbol of indomitable courage, patience, bravery and sensitivity. He made his subjects debt-free. He was endowed with many qualities. We get inspiration from Emperor Vikramaditya to give the poor, helpless and deprived their rights. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Emperor Vikramaditya will always be praiseworthy for us, he has taught us to serve the public. He used to go among the people in disguise to know the happiness and sorrows of his subjects. This sensitivity of his shows that the happiness of the ruler lies in the happiness of the people.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that our culture has always been rich and will remain so in future too. Our culture will always remain intact like the uninterrupted flow of Mother Ganga. We are proud of our past and we have to convey this feeling to the future generation as well. This is our intention behind staging the grand play Vikramaditya in the country’s capital Delhi. He appealed to everyone to take advantage of this event to see, understand and enjoy the glorious period of our history.

Vikramaditya’s rule was a stepping stone to cultural development – Union Minister Shri Shekhawat

Union Minister for Tourism and Culture Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said that the organization of Samrat Vikramaditya Mahanritya in Delhi by the Madhya Pradesh government is not only bringing alive the history of the country but is also strengthening our cultural consciousness. He said that the reign of Emperor Vikramaditya was the culmination of India’s cultural heights. The staging of the Mahanritya based on his rule is a staging of that golden era of Vikramaditya. He was a promoter of knowledge, science, skills and an example of bravery. He was an ideal ruler. He tried to take the culture of India to the highest level through his Navratnas. The staging of Veer Vikramaditya’s reign is a new trend, a new step, which has been started by the Madhya Pradesh government. He congratulated and wished Chief Minister Dr. Yadav for this initiative.

Delhi Chief Minister Mrs. Rekha Gupta expressed her gratitude to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. She said that Dr. Yadav has given the people of Delhi an opportunity to know the character and valor of Vikramaditya. It is my and Delhi’s great fortune that today we got the opportunity to understand Emperor Vikramaditya more. It is a matter of good fortune that a grand drama on Emperor Vikramaditya, a symbol of valor and valor, is being staged here. Delhiites are coming face to face with history today. The grand play will continue till 14 April

Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare and Chemicals and Fertilizers Shri J.P. Nadda will be the chief guest at the grand drama to be held on Sunday, 13 April. The grand drama of Emperor Vikramaditya will also be staged on 13 and 14 April. In this, 250 artists are bringing alive the life story of Emperor Vikramaditya. Special effects of palanquins, chariots, horses and LED graphics are being used to make the scenes of this drama lively.

In the program, Maharaja Vikramaditya Shodhpeeth is also organizing an exhibition of ‘Vikramaditya period coins and stamps’. ‘Arsha Bharat’ exhibition has also been organized focusing on the Indian Rishi scientific tradition. The life and contribution of more than 100 sages is being displayed in it. Exhibitions have also been organized here by the Public Relations Department on the topic of ‘Development and Achievements of Madhya Pradesh’ and by the Tourism and Industry Department.
