“Two MP Students Perform CPR to Save Teacher’s Life After Heart Attack”

Sagar: In Sagar district, two students from the Chikhli Jamuniya Higher Secondary School in the Deori block helped save the life of a teacher with their quick thinking. On Republic Day, a primary teacher posted at the Chikhli Jamuniya Primary School suddenly suffered a heart attack and started losing consciousness. At that moment, the two students, Nishika Yadav and Prachi Vishwakarma, who were attending the event, immediately performed CPR on him. Within 10 minutes, his breathing rate improved. The teacher was then rushed to Deori Hospital where he received treatment. Doctors at the hospital later said that if Nishika and Prachi had not given CPR in time, it would have been difficult to save the teacher, Mahipal Singh. Both students were praised for their quick response.

Teacher Arun Dubey, who works at the Chikhli Jamuniya Higher Secondary School, explained that after the school’s Republic Day program, Nishika and Prachi were on their way home. They stopped by the primary school, where they noticed Mahipal Singh suddenly collapsing due to the heart attack. Seeing his deteriorating condition, Nishika and Prachi quickly started administering CPR. The CPR worked within 10 minutes, and they quickly called an ambulance. While the school staff was on their way to the hospital, they met the ambulance on the road, and together they reached the Deori Government Hospital, where Mahipal received treatment. The doctors emphasized that if the students had not performed CPR, the outcome could have been tragic. Teacher Dubey mentioned that the students had been trained in CPR through vocational education at the school, and it was this training that helped them save Mahipal’s life.
