There is a wave of devotion in Gurudarshan fair, devotees are coming from all over the country

Extensive expansion of facilities and security for devotees on the instructions of Chief Minister Sai

An amount of Rs 50 lakh will be provided for organizing the fair on the announcement of the Chief Minister

A permanent shed will be constructed from the main entrance to the main temple

Raipur, 05 March 2025: Gurudarshan Mela organized at Girodpuri, the birthplace and work place of Baba Guru Ghasidas, is famous across the country for its grandeur and faith. Thousands of devotees from all over India including Chhattisgarh are reaching this fair to receive blessings from 04 to 06 March. On the instructions of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, extensive arrangements have been made this year for the convenience and security of the devotees. Chief Minister Shri Sai has announced an amount of Rs 50 lakh to organize the fair in a grand form this time, which was earlier Rs 25 lakh. Along with this, the construction of a permanent shed from the main entrance to the main temple has also been announced. Chief Minister Shri Sai himself prayed for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of the people of the state by visiting the Guru Gaddi and along with doubling the fair budget to increase the grandeur of the fair and provide more facilities to the devotees, he also instructed the district administration to provide better facilities to the devotees. After the announcement of Chief Minister Shri Sai, the district administration took immediate action and instructed the Public Works Department officials to inspect the site and do the measurement for the construction of a permanent shed from the main entrance to the main temple. On the guidelines of Chief Minister  Vishnudev Sai, better arrangements have been made for the convenience and safety of the devotees in the fair this year. Gurudarshan Mela is a center of faith and devotion not only for the devotees of Chhattisgarh, but also for the devotees across the country. This year, with the initiative of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, it has been made more grand and well-organized. With the increase in these facilities by the administration, the devotees will get a more convenient, safe and spiritual experience. This historic expansion of Gurudarshan Mela will prove to take the service and faith of the devotees to new heights.

The health services being provided to the devotees at the Gurudarshan Mela have been strengthened, under which the number of medical aid centres has been increased from 2 to 8 and the number of ambulances has been increased from 4 to 8.
The free food service has also been expanded, now food is being provided by 212 groups at 24 locations, which was earlier operated by 175 groups at 20 locations. The drinking water system has also been strengthened, in which the number of permanent tap connections has been increased from 110 to 195 and the number of water tankers has been increased from 8 to 18. The security system has been further strengthened at the Mela, in which the number of police control rooms has been increased from 3 to 9, the number of security forces has been increased from 450 to 1150 and for the first time 36 CCTV cameras have been installed, which are being regularly monitored. 130 wireless sets have also been provided to the security personnel. Keeping fire safety in mind, now 3 fire fighting vehicles have been deployed instead of 1 so that immediate action can be taken in case of any emergency. The electricity and lighting system in the fair has been made more effective, in which the number of transformers has been increased from 10 to 13 and the number of backup generators in case of power supply disruption has been increased from 6 to 10. Keeping in view the convenience of the devotees, the number of toilets has been increased from 4 to 16, the number of bathrooms has been increased from 6 to 10, and additionally 80 seater permanent toilets have also been arranged. To make the sanitation system more effective, the number of cleaning staff has been increased from 80 to 291 so that cleanliness is maintained in the fair. This year, for the first time, a website named Giraudpuri Mela.com has been launched, so that devotees can get online information about the fair site, necessary guidance and other essential services. Through this, devotees can get complete information about travel related information, parking arrangements, information about religious places and other facilities online.
